I like their older songs a bit more.

I doubt it to which is good because when something gets too popular it starts to annoy me.

Both for sure. I first discovered Within Temptation when they were in their 'The Silent Force' time and loved their music. I'm a fan of dramatic and epic movies and their sound, reminding me of that stuff, was just amazing to me; especially since it's so different from what I'm used to hearing all the time. Every WT song has a story in and inspiration behind it. I do like what they've done with The Unforgiving and have tried different stuff. I agree with deathroman13 and zanhar1 in the hopes that they won't become too mainstream though.

I love their new rock sound, but I prefer their "sweeter" side (like stuff from their Mother Earth and The Silent Force albums).

Mother Earth was the drug that got me addicted...the thing that turned out to be my first step into the gothic scene. So I still prefer ME over the newer ones.
