Writing Vraag

Does this idea sound stupid and too...ambitious?

I'm doing documents that are "about the characters". The main reason I started doing it was so I could know every depth of my characters, but then it got to the point where I was doing things that if I got to be a famous auteur of something with a website dedicated to my books, I could post them online. I've also done it where it's a Q and A session with me interviewing the characters. Does it sound stupid and worthless? Does it sound like I'm wasting my time because I'll never reach it? My "friends" have told me this. What do u fellow writers think?

It does NOT sound stupid, worthless, of that it's like you're wasting your time. There are a few people I know who don't have anything published, yet have a website and a forum for their books, some that aren't finished yet. They're your characters, your books, and u never know if you'll become a famous auteur of not. u can do anything u want with them. I think it's a great idea for the 'interview' with the characters, because u can get a look into your characters personalitys that u imagined, but didn't really think about, and u can spark new ideas about them with every question, some things u might not have thought about if u hadn't. It's all a great idea, and could be a guidline to being a good writer (in my oppinion). So, keep on with it! It doesn't matter what your vrienden think but what u think!:)
Hope this helps!!:):)

It's impossible to write a book if u don't know who your characters really are and I think you'll find that a lot of other writers do similar things. "Q and A" sessions sound like a really good idea beacause even if they can't be published in a novel u can get a sense of your characters' personalities: how they speak, how they react to different types of question, their thought process, etc. GREAT IDEA!

I like reading a book where the auteur does something interesting with the characters. Learning meer about the characters helps me get to know them better and understand the story more. It's a very creative idea of yours. Your vrienden shouldn't talk down on u like that. No one knows what is going to happen in the future until it gets here. Who are they to tell u what your future is?

Do what u want to do ans dont let anyone tell u its wrong. Thats a great idea and i think u should go ahead and do it. Screw your friends. If they dont like u for who u are then they arent worth it.
