Megan entered the mountain with Artemis and Becca. All three were panting and a little ruffled. Megan and Artemis flopped down on the divan, bank while Becca took the beanbag chair.
“Whoa! What happened to u guys?” Wally asked. “You look awful!”
“Thanks Wally. Just what every girl wants to hear,” Artemis quipped.
“I-I didn't mean-!”
“I'm just teasing you. Megan, Becca, and I just had a rough day.”
“Well, what happened?”
“Nothing much. We just got into a little straat fight.”
“What?!”
“I started it,” Becca said. “I wasn't going to let some stupid football jocks beat up a helpless, untrained schoolmate. So I hit them.”
“And then she got hit and we stepped in,” Megan finished.
“And now we want to rest. So go away.”
“Becca!”
She sighed heavily.
“Fine. I'm sorry. Now please go away.”
Wally pouted but did as told. When he was far enough away, Becca turned to Artemis.
“Think he fell for it?” she asked.
Artemis nodded.
“Yep. He believes our story.”
“I don't like lying. Why can't we tell them we're training?” Megan wondered.
“Because then they'll want us to bring Cassie,” Artemis responded.
“And we are training to get rid of her. No. This needs to be between the three of us. Promise u won't think of say a word to anyone Megan.”
“I promise, Becca.”
“Good.”
Silence filled their conversation. Artemis shifted so her head was laying on the armrest and Megan put her head on the archer's legs. Becca had placed her legs on top, boven of the other armrest and her head turned to look towards the T.V. After a moment, Artemis spoke.
“Did u and Robin figure things out, Becca?”
“Not yet. I'm...I'm scared to talk to him. At least right now.”
“Why?”
“Because I was mean to him.”
“But everything u zei about Cassie was true.”
“I know. But what if everything that we told him, everything Cassie said, comes true? What if that's the thing that splits Young Justice up?”
“Then we'll deal with it. And I doubt Cassie will get her way.”
“I don't know.”
“Becca...you have to keep fighting for him.”
“I need to be alone.”
Becca got up and walked away. Recognized: Shade B013
“She must be feeling awful!” Megan said.
“Yeah. And she needs us. We have to follow her. She may do something she'll soon regret.”
“I don't know what to do Jade! u have to help me!”
A voice sounded on the other end of Becca's phone.
“Alright. Meet me in Gotham. I'll pick u up at your place and we'll get something. Okay?”
“Sure. Just hurry.”
Becca got on her bike and opened the doors.
“Becca wait. We need to talk.”
zei girl warrior let out a heavy sigh as her body straightened with tension. But her hart-, hart fell.
“I can't talk right now Robin,” she answered without looking at him. “I have an appointment.”
“Please.”
Her head turned to look at him and the sunglasses had been removed from his face.
“Do u not trust me?” Becca asked.
“I do. I'm just scared that...”
“That I won't come back.”
Robin nodded slightly. Becca grabbed his hand, pulling him volgende to her bike. She gave him a chaste kiss and pulled away.
“I'm done running. Don’t worry, Robin. I'll be back soon. We can talk then.”
Robin nodded hesitantly and moved away. Becca smiled and pulled the helm over her head. Then she rode out of the mountain. And into Gotham. She roamed around until she got to the designated meeting spot. A girl stood there. She was older than Becca and not as darkly dressed. Her hair was long and brown, falling down her back in waves. Her eyes were smaragd, emerald green and a smile lit up her pale perzik skin. She was dressed in a white tank top, boven and jeans with white ankle boots.
“Hey Jade,” Becca greeted.
“Hello! I've missed you!” the girl exclaimed, hugging Becca.
“I missed u to. Hop on; we have to go.”
“Why can't we just stay around here?” Jade asked, getting on the bike behind Becca.
Becca turned and smirked at her.
“Two of my vrienden are following me. Their in camouflage mode but I know they're here.”
Jade's smile turned devious.
“What's your plan?”
“Ride around until we get down towards the docks. Then we get to play around; they think I'm doing something I'll regret.”
“Heh. They obviously don't know u very well.”
Becca winked at her friend and took off. The idea of playing around suddenly sounded very fun.
