“Becca!”
Jade's voice rang loud and clear throughout the hideout. Her pain and anger was clear on her face. Her eyes started to glow a bright green, her hands ignited with a green fire. She attacked Cassie, using all her powers and strength to knock the girl out. Jade floated down, tears on her face, and kneeled down volgende to Robin who was holding Becca in his arms. Red X came up to them.
“This is all my fault,” she whispered. “I was just trying to save lives. I never meant for this to happen.”
“Erin, I never expected this either,” Jade replied. “Don't blame yourself!”
“Stop. This was an unforeseen problem. We are all to blame.”
Jade stood, tears falling from her eyes. Kaldur embraced her and she cried into his chest. Wally and Artemis looked upset but neither cried. Megan was pretty much sobbing in Connor's arms and Devin stood behind Red X. Robin had buried his head in Becca's neck, refusing to let go of her. Becca's fingers twitched and she moved her hand into Robin's hair. She pushed his head up, giving him a weak smile.
“Man. I gotta stop waking up to tears.”
Robin let out a choked laugh and embraced Becca tenderly.
“Stop playing savior and u won't have to,” Robin responded.
“I know. Bad habit.”
Becca smiled again. She looked around before her eyes landed on Robin's again. Out of respect, the others left the young couple alone as Robin touched his lips to Becca's.
Kaldur stood before the three heroes, feeling nervous and ashamed. He spoke and his voice rang loudly inside the mountain.
“Becca. Jade. Erin. We owe u an apology. Young Justice had no place in your affairs but we interffered. We apollogize. And ask that u kom bij our team.”
The three girls looked at each other before turning back to the rest of the team.
“I'll rejoin,” Becca said. “After all, third times the charm.”
“I'll do the same,” Jade added.
“Thanks but no thanks. Red X is a solo hero. Besides, now I have an excuse to team up with u guys randomly.”
They smiled and Red X bowed, exiting the mountain. The other two girls turned back to the others.
“Will u allow us to apologize for not telling u our real opperative?” Jade asked.
“Pfft! Who needs to apologize?” Becca asked. “I don't feel sorry.”
“You should Becca. We caused this.”
“We? Jade, if there is one thing u are it's mdest.”
“But-”
“No.”
“But we-”
“No. Not apologizing. No need to feel sorry.”
“Becca-”
“Nope.”
“Bec-”
“Stop.”
“But Becca-”
“We are not apologizing. They should have trusted us. Like I now trust them.”
“She is right Jade. We should have trusted u two.”
“No Kaldur! We should have trusted u with our secrets.”
Becca sighed and shook her head. Since Jade was standing just in front of Kaldur, Becca pushed their heads together until their lips touched. Both were surprised but neither moved, even after Becca let them go. Megan cooed just like a fangirl.
“Awww!!! puppy love is so cute!” She commented.
“That, Megan, ain't no puppy love. That is predestined, everlasting love.”
