Young Justice Article: Angel of Vengeance Chapter 5

Chapter 5-

Alexa peered over the balcony into the courtyard below.

"So Dick Grayson goes out on these public meetings to support his adopted father's charity work?" Alexa asked.

"Yep." Poison Ivy said. "His 'father' is Bruce Wayne."

"Never heard of him." Alexa said.

"You've lived in the alleys too much. Bruce Wayne is the richest man in Gotham. He has billions to his name."

"So that's why we're going after Grayson."

"Yeah." Poison Ivy replied.

A limousine drove up and an old butler got out of the driver's side. He opened the door and a small kid, no older than thirteen of fourteen, stepped out.

"There we go." Ivy said. "You know what to do."

Alexa grinned and headed for the stairs as Ivy took off her vacht, bont jas and leaped down.

People screamed and ran as vines erupted from the ground.

As if on cue, Batman swung down towards Ivy, throwing batarangs.

Alexa made her way through the fleeing crowds towards Dick Grayson.

She grabbed him from behind as he watched the fight between Batman and Ivy. He struggled to get away, but he couldn't. Alexa backed up, kicking the old butler in the leg.

"Batman!" he called. However, he couldn't be heard over the din of the fight.

"How about we go for a ride?" Alexa asked, throwing Dick into the back of the car. She hopped into the driver's zitplaats, stoel and stomped the gas, speeding off.

Now she had Batman's attention. The caped crusader jumped off of Ivy's vine and shot a grappling line at the car.

He just missed.

Batman fell to the ground and heard something snap.

"I'd love to stay and chat, Batman." Ivy said. "But I've got important errands to run."

Batman tried to haul himself to his feet, but they gave way. He could only watch as Dick Grayson was dragged off door Poison Ivy and some teenage girl.
