Worth part V
The door clicked shut as Superboy pulled it closed.
"Were do we start?" he asked. We were standing a tight formation, keeping our eyes out for anymore guards. Ahead, 3 hall ways crossed the one were in, and another henchman could appear at any moment.
"Since we haven't seen any real threats yet, probably in the central area of the building," I said, automatically reciting what I knew, "The Weapon will be in the most guarded area. We'll need to be on guard since the line of defense will thicken as we near the target. It may be better to spleet, split up so that it's easier to go undetected." I looked around at the others and quickly added, "Don't u agree Aqualad?"
He thought over it, not seeming angry at me for speaking out of term as I had feared. meer amused. Slowly, he nodded.
"Artemis and Silver take the left hallway. Superboy, Lucas and I will take the one on the right. We'll rendezvous at the location were we're supposed to meet KF, Robin, Scarlet, Becca, and Willow."
We all nodded in agreement, though I wondered why I kept getting teamed up with the girl who hated me.
Once we parted Artemis and I walked in a tension filled silence, her with her bow ready and I with a throwing mes in hand. We didn't encounter any henchmen until we passed a heavy set off double-doors. The three were crossing the hall in front of us and the archer and I immediately halted with nowhere to go. We stood stalk still, hoping the guards wouldn't even look our way. But then they turned walk right our way.

Artemis took out an arrow, then a second. Before she could hit the third, I threw my poison tipped dagger. It hit him square in the chest and he dropped like a rock. All hostility forgotten, Artemis and I high-fived. We were about to head on our way, but we heard the approaching footsteps of at least six red-robed guards.
We looked at each other in alarm. I pulled my dagger from the man's chest. Artemis was realoding.
"We can't take them all," I said.
"Got any better ideas?" She asked, pulling back her bow string. I scanned the hall frantically, pulling at the double doors. The were chained from inside. I checked another door, but it was locked too, and there wasn't enough time to pick the lock with a bobby pen. My eyes raced to the ceiling. They landed on our escape.
I nudged the archer. She nodded and, after setting aside her bow, linked her fingers. I stepped in them and she hoisted me up. Removing the cover I clambered into the vent. I then reached down to Artemis and helped pull her in. The seconde we had the cover in place, we heard the men's yells as they discovered their three fallen brothers. Artemis and I exchanged wide eyed expression. I lead us as quickly and silently down the metal vent as possible.

The lack of OC action (more in the future-I promise!)is because I wanted Silver to get to know Artemis a bit. I thought they would make a good pair. It had nothing to do with my writer's block ;)
