Chapter 3-


"Stay wet, minnows!" Lagoon Boy zei before following the Dark Knight into the zeta-tubes.

The four girls looked at each other before departing for their individual rooms.

hulst, holly walked in and locked her door. It wasn't that she didn't trust anyone on the Team, it was that she felt insecure leaving her private area, the only place she could be herself, available to anyone.

She knew Batman came in here, and she resented him for it, but she could do nothing about it. Red Revenge seemed to not trust her, but left her to herself.

hulst, holly pulled out a suitcase, knowing the others would fuss at her if she took too long to pack.

hulst, holly decided to pack scarce. She knew Nightwing and Captain Adams would have stealth gear and tech she would need to take along. Stuff that would probably take up a lot of room.

Plus, hulst, holly had the sneaking feeling that she wouldn't be wearing jeans and tank-tops much.

door the time she finished packing, someone was knocking on her door. She opened it to see Red Revenge standing there.

"I suppose I have to let u in?" she asked.

"Not necessarily." Revenge replied.

hulst, holly sighed and moved aside, allowing the boy to enter her room. Revenge looked around at the clean, sharp room.

"Neat." he said.

"I try to keep it that way." hulst, holly said.

"What?" Revenge asked.

"My room."

"Your room of yourself?"

"Look, I don't need u questioning my--"

"I'm not. I just want u to promise to answer me one vraag honestly." Revenge said.

hulst, holly raised an eyebrow before sighing and muttering "Fine."

"Why did u suddenly kom bij my side? Why did u not escape from the safe-room? Why-"

"That's three." hulst, holly said, scowling.

"Alright, answer the first one then."

hulst, holly opened her mouth, but Revenge cut her off. "Honestly."

hulst, holly sighed. "When u tricked me with that fake robot of Samuel Grant, testing to see if I would kill someone in cold blood, I stopped. I asked myself if I was a cold-blooded killer. If I really needed to work for the Shadows."

"And your answer?" Revenge asked.

"What do u think?" hulst, holly replied.

They stood in silence for a while before Revenge spoke. "Brave."

hulst, holly was taken back.

"What?"

"I zei that was brave." Revenge said. "You need a hart-, hart of Courage to do something like that."

hulst, holly raised an eyebrow.

Revenge reached up and pulled off his mask.

"You!" hulst, holly exclaimed, stumbling back.

"Yep." Sam zei with a smirk. "All along!"

hulst, holly just stared at him opened mouth for a minuut before slapping him.

"He-" hulst, holly cut him off, pressing her lips to his. He returned the kiss. They stood there, lips locked until Captain Adam's voice came over the speakers. "Alpha & Beta Squad, meld to the briefing room immediately."

They softly broke apart and Revenge slipped his mask back on. "Let's go." he said. "Oh, and u might want to grab your suitcase."

hulst, holly grinned and grabbed it, rolling it behind her.

"I had this in a file from before I was Captain Adams." he said. "It fits the mission perfectly. Megan, you'll be Natalie Hand, seventeen jaar old from Scotland with red hair and brown eyes. You've got an attitude when u get mad, but other than that, you're nice."

"Barbara." It was only after Adams zei the name of the read-head that hulst, holly noticed Batgirl was missing her mask and cape. "I think u suffice perfectly for the role of Sarah Match."

"Cassandra." Wondergirl flinched at her full name. hulst, holly noticed she was wearing a T-shirt and jeans. A strange new look on the blonde-headed amazon.* "You...be a little less enthusiastic."

Conner snorted in the background.

Cassie blushed and took the paper Adams gave her on her character.

Finally, the powerhouse reached Holly. "Holly. You'll receive a slight name change. Hannah Green is a tomboy. I think this fits you." hulst, holly nodded and took the paper.

"I'll leave u with Nightwing to equip u with gear." Captain Adams said.

Nightwing thanked the power-house and stepped in front of the four girls. Blue Beetle was in the back muttering to himself about army experiments.

"Okay: Since u will be undercover in a possibly mind-controlled and hostile environment, you'll obviously get some stealth gear." Nightwing handed each of the four girls a book. "Double tap the spine and it shoots up to three rounds of a toxic dart that can knock out a target."

After handing the girls a few meer pieces of equipment, including explosive ear rings, smoke-bomb perfume, communication watches and earrings, and a dagger hidden in lipstick, Nightwing handed each of the girls the most important piece of gear.

"A utility riem filled with explosives, smoke bombs, toxic gas bombs. Anything u would need to escape."

"Birdarangs?" Barbara asked.

Nightwing rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "Heh. I took some of the gear from my old Robin utility belt."

"No kidding."
