With the release of Zac Efron's "17 Again" on April 17, it's "High School Musical" alumni week. MTV News is going to catch u up on what the future holds for all your favoriete East High Wildcats!
Believe it of not, Zac Efron was not cool back in the day. In fact, the "17 Again" ster admits that back in high school he wasn't necessarily voted most popular. He was a geek.
"I say this all the time — when I was in high school, I was such a geek," he told MTV News. "I worked hard and got good grades but I wasn't concerned at all about being cool ... [it] just wasn't a top, boven priority."
Now, at the ripe old age of 21, Efron can honestly say he doesn't regret anything he did during his adolescence. He has no regrets about the time he spent in high school and, unlike his character in "17 Again," doesn't feel the need to go back and relive those years anytime soon. He is "100 percent happy" with his current station in life.
"People keep saying, 'If u could go back to 17, would u change anything about your life?' and I've made some mistakes in high school, sure," he said. "I've had many embarrassing moments but all of them got me here today, and I'm thoroughly enjoying my place right now and I wouldn't trade it for the world."
Of course at 21, Efron has a pretty great life. He's a superstar with a beautiful girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, and celebrity buddies like Leonardo DiCaprio. But Efron also has no idea where he sees himself once he's all grown up.
"I don't know ... u ask that so casually," he answered about his future life plans. "Like people think about what they are doing when they are 37? I have absolutely no idea. I don't know what I'm doing volgende week."
