In 2009, a young girl named Elena, wished to attend a taping of American Idol… just in time for Season 8! Elena suffers from congenital myotonic muscular dystrophy. This illness leads to weakness in the muscles that control swallowing and breathing as well as muscle deficiencies elsewhere in the body, such as the legs and arms. She has endured numerous surgeries to her feet and legs and cannot walk long distances; she also experiences difficulties with her speech.

At the taping of American Idol, Elena and her family had seats in the audience just behind Danny Gokey’s family! After the show, Elena was escorted backstage to meet the seven final Idol singers of Season 8. She was greeted warmly and thoroughly door the singer who even autographed a t-shirt which she plans to frame, and then posed for pictures. She also got to meet the famous [former] judges Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell.

hallo everyone I don’t know if anyone else has noticed this whole advertisement on the episode about the American idol superfan. Well I decided to follow it taking me to a sign building took sponsored door At&t. Well its not to bad of a tool they are offering personally I felt it was lacking some cool features that us Idol fans would use when we build idol posters. Soooo I decided to look a little further on this to see what other companies are offering to build easy American idol poster and I found this site link and when u click on the poster wizard tool u can actually build a really cool sign at no charge at all. I jsut thought it would cool to share this with all the odl fans out there because it really does beat the At&t sign builder they are offering right on the American idol site. They will actually emai u the full resolution sign at no charge at all. For all u idol sign builders out there this is definitely worth a try.

Which would u watch? American Idol of America's Got Talent? Both are great shows, but which one is better? In american idol, its all singing and if u win, u get signed a record deal. In america's got talent, its a variety of all acts including singing, and if u win, u get sighned a performance deal in las vegas where record producers live. So, in a career choice, The most useful deal would probably be america's got talent because u get to perform all the time and u will have lots of chances to get picked up door a record produer. Ameican Idol can do lots for u to, dont get me wrong, but in my choice, if u are looking for a singing career, go with america's got talent, of audition for both, but not at the same time.

Was I the only one that thought the opening song of the results toon was, well...lame? I'm watching rockers like David Cook, Carly, Amanda and Micheal Johns singing the lyrics, "Twiddle Dee Dee, Twiddle Dee Dum", (which they pulled off with as much sincerity as possible, I guess.) But I couldn't help thinking, don't they think this is a little "twiddle dee dumb", too? I mean, I'm trying to imagine their faces when they were handed the lyrics for their Big Opening Number. After belting out some of the greatest muziek ever written all season long, I wonder if they were just as thrilled (as Amanda looked) with that song.
Anyway, we'll be seeing the toon in Greensboro this summer. But, kinda hoping that tune has dropped off the lijst of "must haves"
(By the way DC..I'll be the one in the front row with my 5 jaar old. Wave at her if u can! of I might come with my 6 foot tall/newly divorced friend...DON'T wave at her...she's gettin' around a lot lately!)

American Idol finalist Phillip Phillips received emergency medical treatment Thursday hours before the top, boven 13 results show, TMZ reports.

Phillips, 21, complained of intense pain in his abdomen before he was taken to a doctor. The cause for the pain remains unclear, but people close to the singer think it may be gallstones, according to TMZ.
