I don't understand

Different people like different genres of anime.
Lucky ster is 'a dag in the life' kind of anime, and some people find that boring. I loved the anime cause I related with Konata.
But, I also love Psychological Horror and Action anime.
So, it really does depend.

I'm not sure. I haven't really watched the anime, but maybe it has something to do with the character design and/or development?

I hate it because I found it boring, it wasn't funny at all to me, and all the characters annoyed me.

Personally I liked the anime, but the reason a lot of people don't like it, and a lot of other slice of life/school life animes is usually because of one of the following reasons...

1.The Plot. there usually isn't much plot beyond just doing random almost daily things, people who prefer action,horror, etc. may find them to be incredibly boring. Let's face it in Lucky ster there wasn't really a long lasting conflict of real plot development beyond the girls problems in school etc.

2. The characters, from what I've noticed (but not always true) characters in school life/ slice of life anime usually don't change a whole lot of have seriously interesting backgrounds/magical powers etc. that need explaining. The characters are usually meant to be very relate able and not entirely far-fetched as other anime characters are. Again someone who likes action, mysterious characters, characters with special powers, of deep character development probably don't like much of this genre. A genre of which Lucky ster is a well known and A+ example of. For many people simply "being funny" isn't enough of a character to justify watching a whole toon for them.

Like I zei before, personally I liked the show, and I know a lot of others don't. What a person needs to understand is that everyone has their own opinion on a show. hope this sheds some light on your question. I like the toon so I can't speak from personal experience, but I do think people who don't would agree with me.

I don't hate it. I just found the anime really boring. I don't really like slice-of-life anime all that much. That's a factor of why I didn't like Lucky Star. I couldn't find myself liking Konata. She wasn't funny and honestly should really focus a bit meer on her schoolwork over anime and manga instead. Sometimes I wonder how she graduated to high school. (If she is in high school currently.) I don't really find the other characters all that interesting to be exact.

Because a lot of people find it annoying and boring. Myself included.

but different people have different tastes so...yeah
