The 21-year-old actress, who plays Serena busje, van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl, insists she will try her best not to go down the same route as the Toxic singer.
She says, "I’m trying to avoid all the excessive aspects of this business. So many young actors make mistakes and they do it in front of the cameras."
"I mean Britney was dating a paparazzo! If she wasn’t Britney Spears, would he have been with her? That’s why it’s important to me to surround myself with people I trust."
"I’m still pretty normal,” Blake adds. "I don’t see myself as a celebrity. I like cooking - I’m a bit of a Nigella Lawson. I don’t hang out at nightclubs, although I enjoy going to cool restaurants. But reading in cafes is meer my style."

Just a few years back, the Burbank, California, native was working at Starbucks, waiting for his big break – and dating “Gossip Girl” ster Blake Lively, whom he took to their high school prom. And, he said, they’re still close.
"We’ve been childhood vrienden and she’s amazing," Kelly said. "I’m so happy for her. We talk every now and again — she’s in New York, so it’s hard."
But for now, it sounds like Kelly’s meer concerned with his work than going after girls – and his rock band, Capra, which he fronts.

Now that ‘Gossip Girl’ has wrapped for the season, Penn Badgley has time to pursue other passions — like bier pong.
At the show’s inpakken, wrap party at the Bowery Hotel, Badgley couldn’t get his fill of the game.
Girlfriend Blake Lively “kept trying to get him to leave, but he was so focused on the game that he begged her to stay,” says an eyewitness. Penn’s pleading won out, as he was allowed to perfect his ball-tossing until 1:30 a.m.
So, Blake Lively ended up remaining till late with her boyfriend Penn.
“They can’t wait for the weather to warm up so they can go to the dog park,” a pal of the couple tells OK!.
The actress recently caused quite a stir while filming her hit TV show, when her character Serena, was arrested outside the Russian thee Room. Many people thought it was actually Blake herself getting arrested! Guess she’s a better actress than we all thought!
