Anyone else in love with everything that's been out about Anastasia the musical? It looks absolutely fantastic. The cast is just phenomenal, especially Christy Altomare who plays Anastasia. She is so genuine as an actress, and starts to tear up when she sings the songs. I wonder how the new villain is going to play out, I heard mixed things about him. Also I can see where people are coming from when they say it's a Disney rip-off, but I don't agree that it's a rip-off. I got to see The Book of Life a few days ago. It was all right. not as good as it looked, considering Guillermo del Toro is a producer and he's one of my two favoriete directors. I admit, I mostly saw it for La Muerte. who Maria ends up with is very cliche and predictable. I always knew that if Disney would succeed at Musicals that Dreamworks ( Shrek) and now vos, fox animatie would succeed hopefully at some of their great work on Broadway.
