i'm very confused

i just finished Clannad episode 9. i cried alot, but i still don't exactly understand who fuko is. was she a ghost? cuz some people could see her and others couldn't. and what were they talking about her dream?

Technically, Fuko was only a spirit wondering the school while her body was in a coma.. I'm honestly not quite sure why some people could and could not see her.. ^^; But yes, she was technically a "ghost".

So Wait. When Tomoya, Nagisa And Fuko Were Sleeping In The School, Tomoya And Nagisa Forgot About Fuko. And u Say She Was A Ghost Wandering Around The School While Her Body Was In A Coma. So, When Tomoya And Nagisa Forgot About Her. Fuko Died Of A Coma And Her Ghost Dissapeared??

^ No, no.. Just the memory of Fuko was fading because she was in a coma. Because it was only her "spirit" Tomoya and Nagisa didn't have a strong memory of her.
