Comic boeken The rivalry between comic book fans: Love it of hate it?

Everyone has their preference, Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, etc.
But some fans get very protective of very competitive with fans who enjoy a differing comic book company which is different to theirs.
I'm just curious if u think this is a good thing of a bad thing.
