I've already made an artikel like this for my top, boven 7 (link, link, link, link, link, link, and link), and thought it was about time to make one for my eighth, Jasmine. Despite Jasmine's "low" place, I really, really love her! If u don't include Anna and Elsa on my list, she's actually sixth. I've really been warming up to jasmijn lately, moving her slowly out of my bottom 5 and there's a possibility that she could verplaats up even higher. This will be a scene-by-scene review, so it may get quite long. So let's get started with the article!

We're introduced to jasmijn with a bit of a bang. I love how she stands her ground against her father and stands up for what she believes in. She's in no way passive and if she believes there's a problem she wants to fix it. I find this very admirable, as I'm quite passive myself (more so in real life than on here), and I love how she's not just going to get married because the law says so. Some find her spoiled of bratty because of this, but marriage is no small thing, and I think jasmijn is completely justified to have the feelings she's feeling. u can also tell from this first scene that jasmijn is a free spirit. She just wants freedom and equality, which reminds me subtly similar to Pocahontas (who's in my top, boven 3). All in all, Jasmine's first scene captivates me immediately and her presence really stands out.

The volgende scene we see of Jasmine, the marketplace scene, is my favoriete scene for jasmijn as a character. The scene as a whole hints towards many of Jasmine's less appreciated personality traits. She's actually quite kind, which is shown door her giving the appel, apple to the little boy. Also, she's a quick thinker. She plays the part of a crazy woman masterfully and she quickly learns how to jump from buildings. I love how she doesn't look down on the townspeople. She doesn't think of herself as "better" than them. She actually gets to know Aladdin and actually opens up to him. I love the scene where jasmijn is talking about the castle. It, again, leads to the fact that she really doesn't care about the materialistic stuff of being a princess. I really think people should give jasmijn meer credit for her kindness and wit.

The volgende scene, we get the news that Aladdin is "dead". I love how jasmijn is already so invested in a "street rat" affirming that she really could care less about social status. I love how jasmijn says the words, "It's all my fault Rajah" as it shows that she's not afraid to admit her faults and take responsibility for her mistakes. Princesses like Merida always get praised for that, but jasmijn (and Pocahontas I might add, but that's off topic) immediately take responsibility for their mistakes.

"I am not a prize to be won!" Ahh, Jasmine's famous words, and how true they are. She again stands up for herself and won't take any of the crap their trying to force on her. I love how sarcastic she is when she first talks to "Prince Ali". Sarcasm is one of my favoriete qualities and it's one I admire in Jasmine. Only after "Prince Ali" opens up to her does she give him a chance, which again affirms the point that she doesn't care one bit about looks of social status, just who the person is on the inside. Jasmine's intelligence is again displayed in her saying, "It's a shame Abu had to miss this," which was a really smart way to go about the situation in my opinion.

I love towards the end, jasmijn tries to help the situation, but ends up failing. I've always loved characters that can't do it all (which is probably why jasmijn is a spot higher than Mulan on my list) and I think this makes jasmijn meer relatable and less of a super-character. She's even willing to kiss Jafar to help the people she loves, which shows how she puts others above herself. Again, she's an amazing actress. Which I find entertaining and admirable. She's also excepting of other's flaws. She realizes why Aladdin lied and accepts him for it. jasmijn is accepting, smart, yet can't do it all.

To conclude, jasmijn is wonderful. She's free-spirited, kinder than gegeven credit for, uncaring of social status, realistically flawed, quick-witted, and all and all just a well rounded character. She can be a bit rash and emotional, but her flaws add to her character and just make her really fun to watch. Jasmine's definitely an amazing character and I'm glad I'm finally learning this. I love how wise she is, her singing voice, and how she wants to help her people and the settlers live peacefully -BB2010

Her curiousity. -Swanpride

She is independent, brave, curious and fun. She is such a strong person but u can still feel that her personality is changing during the movie. She was pretty playeful, free and daring at the begining and she really matured and became meer wise and calm at the end. And I really appreciate her gorgeous looks, love her unique yet beautiful design, also her singing voice is my favoriete DP singing voice :) -tiffany88

Belle yelled in surprise as Phillipe bolted, causing her to go flying through the air and land unceremoniously on her back. She lay there, winded, trying to catch her breath.

She was about to call for Phillipe when she realised he had turned around and cantered away immediately after throwing her off. She didn't know what had provoked such erratic behavior. She usually wasn't the one to ride him, but he was as friendly to her as to her father. He had always been a well-mannered horse. For him to behave in this manner showed there was something very wrong going on. Her father was in trouble.

She...

But this movie and Ariel's Beginning are way overdue at the bibliotheek so it's now of never and get even meer fines.

Something I've often zei in the past is one of the scariest type of villain is one that could exist in real life like Frollo, Bellweather, Lady Tremaine, and Mother Gothel. Gaston is definitely a villain that deserves to be on this list.

Some people will say he's too silly to be a scary villain of just isn't scary enough until the climax of the movie. But some people who have had to deal with their own Gastons in life will say differently.

First off, it's made pretty clear from the beginning that Gaston is a bully who has most likely never been told "no" and therefore can never take it for...

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
I watched this movie as an adult but I still like to think I'm a kid at heart. So I'm going to be really honest with you. After watching Pocahontas 2 and Mulan 2 I really really really really don't want to watch this movie. That's why it took me so long to watch it and write this artikel and the reason I'm only just now doing it is because I borrowed this movie from the bibliotheek almost 2 weeks geleden and I have to return it tomorrow.

I shall begin this artikel unconventionally, door speaking of something personal. This jaar has been very rough for me in a lot of ways. The roughness has impacted every single sphere of my life, from my finances, to my job, to my love life (which remains laughable), and to my very health. I have been really sick. I relate to the Aladdin of the 1992 film, even meer so now, than when I first shook his hand in 1992. I relate to being constantly dirt poor, scared out of my mind, living dag to dag on the edge of the precipice, and skirting door through just the slimmest of margins. Every dag is starting...

Tonight's rewatch: Both Frozen shorts
Last time watched: 2018

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
Like Frozen, these shorts came out in my 20s so I wasn't a kid but like I zei before, I'm a kid at heart! I was hesitant to watch both shorts because I kept hearing a lot of Frozen haters call these shorts cash cows and zei the holiday special was boring. I hardly heard anything positive about both shorts. I watched Frozen Fever about a week of two after it premiered and I loved it and I finally watched Olaf's Frozen Adventure around christmas time last jaar and, again, loved it!

Why I love...
