KataraLover picked The Little Mermaid 3: Ariel's Beginning:
I like it but it really ruined the original and everything it and the TV seires build up and stood for. The only things it did justice to was keeping Ariel's personality the same as the original, the gorgeous animation, for once actually making Ariel's sisters pretty, gave them personalities, what happened to Ariel's mother, and the musicbox being the last thing Ariel has left of her.

I always found Iago annoying and I wish he had stayed gone...along with Jafar.

This is such a poor excuse for a sequel. With a sequel, I expect a proper storyline that follows on from the first film, not some rubbishy jumble of random stories.

I actually really liked Cinderella II. It's probably because I have a lot of nostalgia moments with it but I actually think it's pretty decent. I love the stories, with the exception of Jaq's which I'm so-so on. I feel like Disney brings all the bells and whistles with their main movies that when we see an average sequel we're disappointed with it.

Where's Pocahontas 2? I guess it's out already.
I think Mulan 2 sucks. Shang was totally destroyed.
Hey, not Cindy's sequels. I love them. We have more of princes personality in Cindy's 3 (even though I feel this personality doesn't match to the one he had - at least what I get from the 2 minutes her appears- in Cindy 1.
As far as Cinderela 2 is concerned I love this one 2. Cindy doesn't lose her personality - as it usually happes in sequels- and Anastasia has a lover. I've always knew she was sensitive deep inside.

PociandSmith really? Same here! I didn't know what it was but somehow even before the sequel I had a feeling there was something about Anastasia that was good. I also love the Cinderella sequels too.

I'm probably in a minority but I really like both Cinderella's sequels, I thought they were very lovely and well done and they made me smile.

As painful as it is to say, but Ariel's Beginning ended up being a real disappointment. As much as I appreciated the fact that we got to know the backstory of her mother, finally found out why Triton was so against his daughters being on the surface or having any contacts with humans and a stunning animation, this movie not only didn't bring anything into the story but in fact destroyed a lot of things that were built up in canon, both movie canon and tv series. The terrible OOC-ness of Flounder and Sebastian was almost painful to watch. Flounder had never been a dashing rebel and Sebastian never showed any signs of disobeying Triton's orders previously, that's why his entire conflict in the original TLM movie was built on him having to choose between being a good worker for Triton or doing what's right and helping Ariel.

I like all of these, but this one less because of the lack of plot and different voice actors.

I agree with KataraLover about The Little Mermaid 3: Ariel's Beginning. I LOVE the TV series, which by itself is a perfect prequel to TLM. I like certain parts of TLM3, like how Athena died--that's the reason King Triton hates humans. The 2 things that really bug me are how King Triton banned music, and Flounder's personality (the complete OPPOSITE of his personality in the original movie & TV series). I do like the movie, but I'd rather think of it as an alternate universe where Flounder is a fearless fish and King Triton is not a very good father.
