Both had 3 comments so I had to do a tiebreaker. This moral is too vague and isn't very strong in the movie.

I'm still voting for this. Saying one "should stand up for yourself" is not a vague moral. There's little ambiguity, in that statement. There is also no ambiguity if you tell someone "to never lose hope" about their circumstances.

Simply saying " Never lose sight of what is really important" leaves people still puzzling over defining "what is really important" to them...which differs every single time you ask that question of a person. So this doesn't work as a moral. It's just a vague statement people have to keep on "defining" over and over again.

Pretty much what wavesurf said. The film defines what is really important as love, but to someone else there might be something even more important. It's a versatile moral, but still incredibly vague.

Forgetting that family is more important than money/success is deeply important in our overly ambitious society if you ask me.

^Yes, That's the moral of TPATF, but I'd argue that "never lose sight of what is really important" doesn't convey that, because it's too vague and doesn't explicitly specify what "is really important." The moral of TPATF should be rewritten to say, "Pursuing money/success can make you forget the importance of family and community."

What's important, I think, means what's important to you, to your family and friends, and to society. I think that's way more important than a cliche, "Never loose hope! Everything is possible!" motto. Pursuing what is considered important is practical and, well... IMPORTANT. The only thing that I think is good about Tangled's message is standing up for your beliefs, but I think that's easily interpreted as "If you don't agree with your parents fight the power and stand up for yourself" which is more careless in the way it's conveyed. If it's important to you, don't loose sight of it, strive for it, work for it and keep it.

Definitely this one. PATF overall has a good moral.

What audreyfreak said! And PATF's moral, as stated here, is at least more specific than "never lose hope" or whatever. And I think the moral is better executed in PATF than it is in Tangled.

have to be this...mostly agree with MissCinico. And m not sure if this is the moral of the movie, its too loosely phrased and executed.
