I mean, my mum read the story to me every week, so I know what would happen. Ariel's story were always the suicide ones in the stories I've heard, and I always get emotional (yes, even after watching the movie a hundred times) at Beast dying. :'( posted een jaar geleden.

Ariel had just lost EVERYTHING plus she was doomed to life as a weird sea slug. Ariel lost both her love AND her freedom. 	Athiya picked When the Dwarf's think Snow White is dead.: princesslullaby made a good point. :D Notice that when the Beast (kinda) died, not only did Belle lost his love, but the castle's servants lost their hope of becoming a human as well. If the Beast hadn't revived, what would Belle and her father be in the village (reactions from the townspeople about Gaston's death and households attacking them)? I suppose they could live in the castle, but it wouldn't be the same. At least when the Beast was cursed, there was still a little hope of things returning to normal again, but after he died, I think it would be gloomy there :( posted een jaar geleden.

The objects would be stuck as objects, and ariel would be stuck as the seaweed thing. HOWEVER- the objects would still be free to move about. Ariel wouldn't be. Also, Belle still has her father, whereas if Ariel turned into a seaweed thing her father would never know where she was. :D I actually do find Belle's moment sadder, but only because we actually see it happen in the movie. Had we seen Ariel's, I might have found that sadder. posted een jaar geleden.
