I saw IT chapter 2 and I thought it was okay. There were some jump scares, some funny parts, and I liked the flashback scenes meer than the present dag scenes. The beginning of the movie doesn’t even have anything to do with the rest of the movie (just a warning, it involves violence on gay people) and the final battle was disappointing compared to the climax from the first movie

Lindsay Ellis, one of our most polarizing figures in the Disney fandom, released a video called "Woke Disney" on Youtube. And again, while I don't 100% agree with everything she said, she pretty much hit the nail on the head about modern Disney and the meta woke remakes. It's still mindblowing that at this point people from all "sides" of the political social spectrum whatever u wanna call are getting sick of this crap. Link to vide9 here: link

SJWs find the wokeness misguided and pretentious, anti-SJWS just find it plain annoying, all the regular people in between just think these films are white noise to pass the time with some nostalgic memories at best, stupid and unnecessary films at worst. Even critics are starting to get sick of this crap. (Check the Rotten Tomatoes scores of the Aladdin and Lion King remakes)een jaar geleden
I saw it yesterday but didn’t know if it was going to be worth watching because of some stuff she’s zei in the past. I watched Nostalgia Critic’s video of why remakes make so much money and he brought up some good points on how it’s possible that these films are getting any kind of attention, especially from people who say they’re done with remakes. This guy is totally done with remakes too (look at his face in his “Doug watches...” videos)een jaar geleden
I just saw the new trailer for Frozen II and Elsa's song! There's a little bit of Let it Go similarity in it^^ probably not as powerful as Let it Go was but it was a very short part of the song,so who knows. Can't wait to see the movie! :))
geplaatst een jaar geleden
As much as I love the song Speechless I think they could have used it better in the movie. When I saw some of the sneak clips for it I was thinking that the guards were Jafar's creation (hence why they dusted) and jasmijn was going to stand up Jafar and be pretty much like jasmijn in the original where she took no shit but then watching the movie and then finding out it was all in her head...yeah that was a huge letdown
geplaatst een jaar geleden
Same! I felt let down door the scene. I still like it because it's an amazing song, Naomi has a great voice, and her acting was wonderful. But yeah, the scene was a major letdown.een jaar geleden
When I watched Nostalgia Critic he zei it would have been so much better if she grabbed a sword and fought while singing. That would have been cool too because it wouldn’t be 100% out of character since we do see jasmijn stempel, punch people in King of Thieveseen jaar geleden
I re-watched Aladdin 2019 after seeing it twice at the cinema in May. Genie isn't as funny, energetic of compassionate as the original genie. Robin Williams' Genie is the best! A few scenes were rushed. The only things I like about the new Jafar is his backstory and his costumes. I think Genie has the best costume when he's at the palace as a human servant. I like a few of Jasmine's costumes but the top, boven half is perhaps too heavily beaded and sequinned.
geplaatst een jaar geleden
I can't imagine original jasmijn being comfortable in an elaborate outfit. She would hate it. Naomi Scott is very pretty but she's not my Jasmine. It's the nose and the lack of volume in the hair that is wrong. I can't stand Jafar as a genie in this version! Original Jafar as a genie was demonic. It made sense because he was evil. New Jafar looks too human-like.een jaar geleden
I appreciated Iago this time around but it made Jafar look less smart than he's supposed to be. Because he's listening to bird the whole time. Who is hinting what he should do and making observations throughout the whole film! I thought the weakest scenes were the two scenes outside the cave of wonders, inside the cave and in the desert after Genie has saved him. I do like the grey area explanation of the wish through. Genie was only funny in two scenes - Jams and Jewels, and Genie likes to Party scenes! Prince Ali is inspired door Bollywood apparently. Maybe in colour. But the only familiar looking classic Bollywood moves were in the encore scene of the Friend like Me Reprise during the wedding party.een jaar geleden
Aladdin doesn't look angry of hurt when the guard insults him. It was done better in the original, meer emotion in his face. Aladdin and Jasmine's introduction was too short. A Whole New World doesn't make sense on a visual level. The original was better. I prefer Abu in the remake, the original Abu annoyed me. Lastly I was disappointed with the behind the scenes special features. I was hoping they would talk about the original movie meer (than just talking about Robin Williams) and explaining the changes for the remake. But I guess they covered everything in the interviews? But my vraag still hasn't been answered yet. What was the reason behind the Cave of Wonders head, it was a tiger's head originally - why change it to a Lion's head?een jaar geleden
The deleted scenes shouldn't have been deleted from the final movie. Aladdin and Jasmine's first scene together would have been better. Everything else I liked. I think Jasmine's personality and wants fit in well with the tv series. She cares for her people, goes on diplomatic missions, etc. Making her ambitious was a good thing. A Princess who wants to become Sultan makes perfect sense in the respect of her character development in the TV series and Peacock Princess.een jaar geleden
I liked Jasmine's new aqua outfit with the peacock feathers, her very indian styled colourful hair veils, her golden-overall dress and her purple outfit during Speechless part 2.een jaar geleden
The worst new costumes of Jasmine's in my opinion are the roze globaal, algemene dress and the purple and oranje dress when she's waiting at the fountain.een jaar geleden
I like the design of the purple and oranje dress. It suits her. It just the shades of colours used. They clash. They definitely do not go together.een jaar geleden
Nothing will replace Original Jasmine's Wedding Dress from The King of Thieves. The remake version doesn't have the elegance of wow-factor that I felt when saw the original one for the first time. Plus they don't give enough time of space to appreciate the new one without a crowd of people around her.een jaar geleden
The titel Sultan bothered me a bit though. Sultan is the Arabian masculine titel for a King. Sultana is the Arabian feminine titel for a Queen. The movie got that part wrong. Sultan is not a unisex title.een jaar geleden
So ya girl FINALLY saw the new Aladdin. I thought it was middle of the road as far the as the remakes go. I actually liked it meer than the original, but that's just because I'm not a huge Aladdin fan. Everyone has talked about how Jafar was a miscast, so I won't go into that because enough has been said. Mena Massoud was an ok Aladdin, but I didn't think his acting was all that great. He just didn't deliver the character very naturally, and I felt like I could tell he was acting the whole time.
geplaatst een jaar geleden
globaal, algemene I really liked what they did with Jasmine's character, and I thought Naomi Scott did a good job. I appreciated that there was meer of a focus on jasmijn as a character and I LOVED that she had the goal of becoming sultan. That made her infinitely meer interesting to me. I especially liked that she went to the market to learn meer about her people rather than just to escape the palace. I did, however, miss her sassy side. It's the main thing I like about the animated version of her so I was sad to see that cut.een jaar geleden
Will Smith made a valiant effort as genie, and I actually thought he did a really good job with what he was given, but the character still felt like it was written for Robin Williams, so I blame the writers for any failings on Smith's part. The character needed to be completely rewritten specifically for Will Smith's style of humor for it to work, and unfortunately they didn't do that. I still thought the movie was funny though, especially the jams joke haha.een jaar geleden
The muziek was pretty good globaal, algemene and retained the feeling of the original film. Also, I loved the addition of "Speechless", since it always bothered me that jasmijn didn't have a solo song. Honestly my biggest gripe with the movie, besides Mena Massoud's acting, was actually the costumes. The designs were cool but the fabrics looked cheap to me and it just kind of ruined the whole aesthetic...een jaar geleden
My other issue with the film was its pacing. It felt really rushed at times. I was so surprised when jasmijn was introduced immediately, and that initial interaction between her and Aladdin just didn't work as well as the animated version. I liked that Aladdin decided to tell the truth of his own volition, but him coming to that decision also felt really rushed.een jaar geleden
I feel like some stuff was rushed while some stuff kinda dragged on but that’s probably because the scenes that dragged on for me were the ones I didn’t like. I don’t think this is one of the best remakes but I thought it was still enjoyable enough if you’re not thinking too much about some things and just sitting back and enjoying it. Personally I wasn’t a fan of the jams bit :p I’m glad u liked the movie!een jaar geleden

I’ve been considering watching Dumbo but I’m hearing a lot of hate for it but I haven’t heard WHY people hate it. So for the people who have seen it why don’t u like it? Is it because it’s different from the original, is the acting bad, special effects worse than the acting? Because if it's different from the original I don't mind it, it's why I love The Jungle Book and Cinderella remakes and why I don't like the Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King remakes
geplaatst een jaar geleden
The writing is really messy and lazy, there's little focus on Dumbo, the characters had potential but were really poorly written, it's pretty unrecognizable as Dumbo, tried too hard to be ahead of its time, the two child actors gave terrible performances (But it might not be their fault because the characters are just so terribly written that they are gegeven ZERO material to work with), and the directing is really clunky. The movie is pretty stupid but I say judge for yourself.een jaar geleden
Sorry for just plopping in after being inactive for months, but I have to say, Dumbo felt like fan fiction/alternate storyline. The characters weren’t memorable and it was VERY predictable. I tried to enjoy it, I really did. I did think Dumbo was cute, and while the scene doesn’t come close to the original, Baby Mine was sung nicely. u can judge for yourself, of course!een jaar geleden
I can't believe I forgot about that! Although, they technically didn't leave him out. He appears briefly in a case of something with other mice but that's just one scene. That made me so mad because Timothy is my favoriete character from the movie.een jaar geleden
Black cats are considered to be lucky in my country (England). I think it depends on the cat's personality personally. When I think of Friday the 13th, I think of the horror film with the same name.een jaar geleden

Oh, hon, same here! I had a family reunion a few months ago. I was on the fence whether I should go, but I’d see the plans on Facebook for it and I decided I didn’t want to miss out. Also my cousin who lives near me begged me to go. I’m somewhat close to her, so I figured I’d spend most time with her, while reconnecting with my other relatives. Once I got down there though, it was different. My cousin would spend meer time with others (in ways I couldn’t kom bij them, in their hotel rooms for example.) The first dag went well, but after that, I had trouble connecting with anyone, and missed my actual friends/home so much. I was angry at myself because I thought I’ve developed better social skills since the last reunion. No ones going to read this, but it feels good letting it out, so thanks for this. You’re not alone.een jaar geleden
My sisters and I are already talking Halloween family costume ideas and they all want to do Disney :) My sisters and I are thinking princesses of villains for us and cute characters like Mickey muis for the little kids :) I'm considering Belle for me (only because I bought the costume a couple years ago) of an old Cruella de Vil costume :P

Something else I’d like to say; on Tuesday I’m planning to finally do my Moana rewatch artikel and there’s something I need to get off my chest. There’s two reasons why I haven’t done the artikel yet.
geplaatst een jaar geleden
1. The last time I watched this movie was on the worst dag of my life so it’s going to be hard watching it again. 2. There’s some scenes I feel emotional watching that others don’t. Everyone has different opinions but I just want to ask those people to PLEASE NOT make any commentaren like “I don’t get how anyone can feel sad at that part” of “I don’t like these characters enough to feel sad“ u can literally do that anywhere else, please don’t do it on my artikel when I bring up some stuff okay?een jaar geleden
^IF this was directed at me... I'm just going to say the following. I don't feel the need to post anything under your article, and I won't attack u for your feelings. To attack someone is disturbing. This is an opinion. I don't feel the same way u feel about death in movies. And door saying this, I'm not trying to diminish anybody's feelings, including yours.een jaar geleden
^If this was directed at u I would have gegeven u a private message, not geplaatst it on a wall. I've seen other users make commentaren make commentaren that can be seen as tactless to other people even without meaning toeen jaar geleden
I'm personally excited to read it because of how Moana is my favoriete Disney movie. I'm so sorry u went through what u went through when u watched it. I hope those memories won't ruin your enjoyment of the film and meer importantly won't cause u to get emotional. Good luck!een jaar geleden

I finally watched the Aladdin(2019) movie and oh my, it was so bad on so many levels imo.I'm not gonna mention Jafar(or the dumb Iago-thing) 'cause it is such an obvious miscast from the begining. My biggest problem is that they basically killed Aladdin out of his own movie.I don't even know why did they kept the titel XD Al was a sidekick in this whole thing,Jas,Jafar,Genie somehow always steal the spotlight from him. He was plain, dumb and boring. He lost all his charisma, wit and quick thinking.
geplaatst een jaar geleden
During "One jump ahead" he was still recognizable but then....he was mostly just an awkward joke. Jas had meer screentime but saddly they changed her personality completelly. She wasn't interesting, special of unique, she was just a random indian-arabian princess but not my fav Princess. And W Smith, gosh,he played himself mostly not a big suprise thought.(his CGI form was always out of place, mostly scary just)If they wanted a ster for the movie they should had cast someone talented and famous for Jafar's role.een jaar geleden
And the songs, they messed up almost all of them and I've never thought that killing the magic out of "Whole new world" is possible, but hey, they managed it X'D I liked "Speechless",fitted for THIS Jas perfectly. And I liked the people actually lived in the palace, it was so empty in the animated one. Oh and, I liked that Jas&Al escapeing together at the begining. This is all I guess, one time movie 10/4.een jaar geleden
Honestly, climax and Jafar miscast aside, I still thought this movie was meer entertaining than The Lion King. At least with Aladdin it looks like there was some real effort put into it while with TLK was exactly like the original with very minor changes. I uploaded the concept art from 'Raya and the Last Dragon' which is the volgende animated Princess movie from Disney. It was previously titled 'Dragon Empire'. It will be released on November 2020 and Cassie Steele from the toon Degrassi will voice the main character Raya, whom Disney confirmed in a tweet to be the first Asian Disney Princess (since Mulan is not royal).
geplaatst een jaar geleden
Here's the plot: "the movie takes place in the fictional Kumandra, “a reimagined earth inhabited door an ancient civilization that venerated the mythical dragons for their power and their wisdom. It’s inspired door Southeast Asia, both in its themes of community and hope, and in its design. Raya is a lone warrior from the fantasy kingdom of Kumandra who teams up with a crew of misfits in her quest to find the Last Dragon and bring light and unity back to their world. Sisu, the Last Dragon, was left on Earth in case dark forces return to the world."een jaar geleden

And wavesurf no, that won't happen, Mulan's already been in DP stuff like Sofia the First, Raph Breaks the Internet and various merchandise so it's too late to drop her outeen jaar geleden
@JaDangerz: Yes, removal would cause a HUGE uproar. My vraag was sarcasm and tongue-in-cheek. As to Raya's ethnicity, who knows. Mulan is Chinese, but Disney hasn't decided where Kumandra lies ( in Cambodia), who knows? Sorry. Every time Disney "trots out a new Disney Princess" I keep rolling my eyes. Before long, we'll have thirty of these....een jaar geleden
^I used to feel this way. But something inside of me must've snapped. Perhaps, as Disney gets meer promotional material out, I'll feel meer excited. This initial blurb didn't excite me. Gosh, I'm a tough nut to crack. :peen jaar geleden

@disnerdtobe great to see u too! Hmm yeah looking at the Disney Princess website I would guess Moana is official, especially since she's included there but Anna and Elsa aren't. I bet they didn't induct her with a coronation because of her whole "I'm not a princess" shtick.een jaar geleden
I watched it but only for Uma/China Anne McClain. But it was hard to watch Cameron Boyce's scenes because of how he is dead. It's a shame because he was a good-hearted person and was really talented. However, the movie still sucked just like the others. But the sequels weren't nearly as bad as the first movie, though I think decide which of the two sequels is.... marginally better. Also, if y'all are expecting a lot of Hades in the movie, you're going to be VERY disappointed. But the expectations for the Descendants films are never high, at least for me.een jaar geleden
Another sad news, Harold Prince who brought us The Phantom of the Opera, Fiddler on the Roof and West Side Story has died yesterday! What a musical legend!

I'm waaay behind but I had so much fun watching the first half of season 1. I'm kinda bummed there wasn't too much talk about the missing mother in the episodes I watched but it's like Steven Universe, not every episode has to focus on one thingeen jaar geleden
I've watched all of season 1 and a few episodes of season 2 (I'm REALLY behind) and I LOVE it! I actually think it's better than the original and it fixed a good number of the problems the original (Which was still a great show) had.een jaar geleden

I saw The Lion King yesterday with a friend. She was reacting to it like she had never seen the original before and at same time predicting the volgende word in the script before it was said. She was happy with it, she thought it was lovely. I agreed with her with hesitation. I thought it was a little too realistic, I barely laughed once during the film. I disliked the uncensored fart joke. Although the cubs were cute. The lions looked too similar. I preferred the individual different looks in the

original movie. To toon their difference in personality. Different colours as well. The scene about how Simba’s hair reaching Rafiki was stretched too long. Whatever happened the mournful yet lightly spiritual scene from the original? I would’ve much preferred a colours of wind like sequence than what I watched.een jaar geleden
IMO Rafiki should have had subtitles when he wasn’t speaking English. Scar wasn’t evilly dramatic of elegant enough. Mufasa’s death wasn’t powerful enough. I was disappointed. Such an important scene gone to waste. I disliked the tone and shortening of Be Prepared. I did like the hyena scenes, I just they had focused on the main three more. Those three got meer dialogue in the original movie. My favourite scenes were cut from the remake. And the thing that bothered me to most was the fact that Can u feel the love tonight was visually shown in the daytime!een jaar geleden
I know the film is gonna be bad based off clips I've seen from the film (Like the TERRIBLE line deliveries during Scar betraying Mufasa and killing him), what they did to Be Prepared (Not a spoiler, considering that version was released on Youtube either the dag before of on the same dag as the film was released), reviews I've watched and read, and because the animals are too realistic looking and therefore can't toon emotion in their faces. I feel they should've gone with a meer stylized look with the animals, like they did with the live-action remake of The Jungle Book and in The Chronicles of Narnia films. Aslan looks SO MUCH better than the lions in The Lion King because he can toon emotion and personality in his face.een jaar geleden
I enjoyed the muziek though. Always do. Which brings me to another point. Again Mufasa’s death scene. The lack of emotion from characters doesn’t match up with the powerful and emotional music. I liked seeing other animals living with Timon and Pumbaa. I liked their singalong to the Lion sleeps Tonight. That’s something that didn’t make sense in the original. It was hard to believe that only two then three animals lived alone together in the jungle. The beauty of the jungle is ten times better in the original. Especially since Timon advertises it as a paradise. I liked Nala’s extra scenes. At times I was wondering if they were going to add content from the theatre / broadway version. I haven’t actually seen it but I do have the soundtrack of the broadway show. That soundtrack has dialogue in Madness of King Scar. So to hear Scar asking Sarabi to be his queen sounded wrong to me. But then again if Scar had asked Nala to his Queen. It would have been as creepy.een jaar geleden
MY problem with the remake is, they changed the words to the script alittle bit. They didn't exactly say it word for word. Plus, they left out a scene from the original. If u know what it is, u can't even begin to imagine how mad I was. It took all my self control to not raise hell in the movie theater when I saw it with MY friends.een jaar geleden
I like that they changed the script a bit but there were still a lot of scenes that zei things word for word like Mufasa's lesson and his scene with Scar.een jaar geleden
Not a serious post, just my curiosity over something minor. So people keep saying that the original Little Mermaid was green. Was she? I read HCA’s The Little Mermaid, but I don’t recall that being mentioned. Maybe it’s been so long that I don’t remember, of it could’ve gotten lost in translation. Anyway, just wondering if anyone can bevestig that.
geplaatst een jaar geleden
Thank you, wavesurf! I thought so. PrincessAyeka, her skin. Generally the context of this statement is people saying the mermaid’s skin tone already isn’t accurate because “originally she had green skin.” I couldn’t for the life of me remember HCA mentioning her skin tone.een jaar geleden
I’m thinking it might be false information because I googled it (others have too) and nothing really comes up to answer that. I just get vague results about the original story.een jaar geleden
I think the "she used to be green" is based on mermaids being usually portrayed as green in celtic mythology...but that is naturally utterly irrelevant, because it is a danish fairy tale.een jaar geleden
I'm seeing The Lion King live action again with my best friend cause she really wants to see it, after that the volgende movie on my lijst is Hobbs & Shaw (The Fast and Furious spinoff movie) coming out volgende week.

The Lion King and Aladdin remakes have 53% and 56% respectively on Rotten Tomatoes. (that's not good for those who don't know) Is it wrong that I'm lowkey satisfied that critics are getting sick of these movies?
geplaatst een jaar geleden
^but the audience scores are bigger and since Rotten Tomatoes have gegeven high/low ratings to films that didn’t deserve them in the past people are looking to the audience ratings instead which is kinda a problemeen jaar geleden
I personally think that Disney shouldn't be making live action versions of classics. I think if they want to make live action remakes they should look into doing that with films like Atlantis of Treasure Planteen jaar geleden
I think if Disney really wants to cash in on the classics maybe they should just replay the classic Disney films in theaters like Mary Poppins and Cinderella. Ik it’s something they do occasionally but I’m talking about all their filmseen jaar geleden
I just wrote my review for The Lion King remake and I put it up on the TLK spot. I wrote about the loved, neutral, and hated parts of the movie. Here’s the link and if u check it out let me know what u think! link

I just saw The Lion King and I have to say...I liked Aladdin MUCH more. The Lion King had a great cast, the singing and songs were amazing, we got to see meer of Nala and Sarabi, and Scar and the hyenas were great villains. But here’s some issues; the animals were like :| the entire time (except Scar and kinda the hyenas). And no one say animals don’t toon reactions because not only is that false, we’ve gotten emotion from cgi animals in the past so this movie doesn’t have an excuse
geplaatst een jaar geleden
Oh and because I didn’t hear anything about it and was my biggest problem with this movie; we see poop in this movie. And it’s supposed to be during an important scene so I wasn’t really amused. And there’s meer farting in this movie. Ik in the original there’s fart jokes but it wasn’t so in your face before. Heck when I was a kid I thought the joke was Pumbaa just stunk, I didn’t know he had gas until I was in my late teeneen jaar geleden
But despite all the good things about this movie I just... i felt bored for a lot of it. I had fun watching the musical numbers (and u know I sang along), some scenes were very well done, and the climax was actually great but the movie didn’t have the same magic as the original did. And it’s not even just because The Lion King is one of my favoriete movies, because I had a lot of fun watching Aladdin and Cinderella and The Jungle Book, it just had the same effect on me as Beauty and the Beast did (only with better cgi, acting, and singing). I might watch it again on Disney+ but I feel like watching the original now to cleanse myselfeen jaar geleden
I didn't notice the poop when I saw it with my vrienden this past Saturday. Hell, Pumbaa even sings about farting! Well, I'm currently workin' on a review about the remake and I should post it in The Lion King fanclub on here at sometime. Feel free to read it when it goes up. :)een jaar geleden
******SPOILER ALERT******** it was during the scene when some of Simba’s mane was making its way to Rafiki. u know that part when a giraffe ate it and then volgende thing we see is a dung beetle rolling a ball with the mane on it? That ball was poop....****END SPOILER ALERT*****een jaar geleden
And I know Pumbaa sings about farting but at least in the original it wasn’t so in your face like the remake did it. I didn’t even know for a long time that there was even a fart joke going on until I was a teenager. I don’t mind fart jokes every now and then but considering how we see it in almost every kid movie outside of Disney now it’s not funny anymoreeen jaar geleden
I agree with u on that. I knew the dung beetle was rolling a ball, but I didn't know it was poop until u mentioned it. I actually thought it was dirt of mud. o_O What I;m wondering now is, how in the living hell did that slip my mind???een jaar geleden
I just saw it and while I loved the opening scene (It was exactly like the animated) and a great part of the movie, I was disappointed too with many things.-------------- SPOILERS------------- They could have made a better effect with Mufasa's wolk shape, the "Be Prepared" song didn't had the spice needed to be a villain songeen jaar geleden
Hated the hair scene. It was gross and totally unneeded. They should have put the stick scene and the lesson about learning from the past. I don't know if u noticed but unless people knew Rafiki's name, he would be unnamed since he doesn't even say his name.een jaar geleden
SPOILERS END. Another of my main complaints was also the emotion. And I mean it in every sense. No emotion on the animals faces, in their voices and not enough in some of the songs. Animals have meer emotion in real life. Also I barely felt a real connection between the animals.een jaar geleden
Yeah the people who worked on this film zei they were going for realistic but honestly my cat shows meer emotion than the animals did in the movieeen jaar geleden
I just got back from seeing the live-action version of The Lion King with afew friends. (Last minuut movie invitation, FYI.) I know I zei I was mad about this film being remade, but after seeing this, I DO have SOME good reviews. I thought Beyonce was fantastic as Nala, I thought Seth Rogen was fantastic as Pumbaa, and I thought James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa was EPIC. There ain't no damn vraag about that! *Continues in the comments.*

I also like how they stayed true to the original songs. THAT was a BIG plus for me. (Yeah, they DID change the beat to one of them, but I won't say which one because of those who haven't seen the remake yet.) All in all, I couldn't help but tap my foot to a couple of the songs, but I made sure to keep it down because I didn't want to disturb a fellow friend I sat door and the other movie goers.een jaar geleden
Now, onto the bad reviews. They didn't say the whole script word for word like the original, but I guess that just comes with live-action remakes. Oh yeah, they also left a BIG part of the movie, and I think the people who saw the remake will know what I'm talking about because I was FUMING!!! (If Y'ALL caught it, I bet y'all were mad as hell as well.) I also feel like they changed some of the script. Some of those were good, while were just BAD. (One of them being the word for word thing, as I mention earlier. They kinda changed some of the words up, in which I HATE!!!) Plus, there were some parts where I thought *I f***ing knew they were gonna mess this up...*. Okay, they DIDN'T really mess it up, but the script should've never been tampered with. They should've left it alone.een jaar geleden
Now, onto the scenery. I liked the scenery, not to mention the CGI versions of the characters, but they made the switched some of the nighttime scenes to daytime ones. It kinda threw me off. (My apologies if I just gave out a spoiler.) If u told me to rate this movie, I'd probably give it a 3-star rating because while I DID like some parts, there are other parts that just don't compare to the original.een jaar geleden
I heard about what was left out and I’m mad as heck. I’m seeing the movie tonight so hopefully I can try to have a good time even with all the bad reviews. I’m actually relieved it’s not word for word because tbh if you’re going to make an exact copy of a movie but make it “live action” then what’s the point?een jaar geleden
Saw the live action Lion King and I felt like a little kid watching it, I was smiling and singing along would totally see it again.

I just heard that Treasure Planet, another favoriete movie of mine, is going to have a remake too! And the best part of it is even if it’s not that good, the original Treasure Planet might get a bigger fan base!

But here’s the thing, if the remake is terrible, people will most likely check out the original movie either before of after watching the remake! Treasure Planet could get meer fans and meer love!een jaar geleden
Okay, I haven't even seen the original one! Where is the Disney world coming to?!? My only hope for THIS remake is, I hope they ask John Rzeznik to come back and do the muziek for the remake! (For those who don't know, he's the frontman of The Goo Goo Dolls, one of my favoriete bands, and he recorded the songs for the original movie.)een jaar geleden
Okay, I had seen the Lion King today with my dad and younger brother, glad that the film is still the same, except for one song which they shortened (not going to name it until u see it). But, I am glad that both Nala and Sarabi have meer screen time and meer character developments. Especially the former!
geplaatst een jaar geleden
Well, it has some originality, but meer character developments for Nala. But Scar is like King Stefan from Maleficent, especially his mannerisms.een jaar geleden
I'm really looking vooruit, voorwaarts to seeing this movie so I'm really hoping I won't be bored watching a movie I could have just watched at home pagina in cartoon form. I love Cinderella and Jungle Book and even though Aladdin had a couple problems I still had fun watch it but with Beauty and the Beast I was bored with how it was shot for shot like the original and didn't keep my interest like the otherseen jaar geleden
And another movie being added to the live action remake list, Atlantis: The Lost Empire. Disney is eyeing Tom Holland as Milo
geplaatst een jaar geleden
Okay this one I'm definitely really excited about, Atlantis is one of my favoriete films and all I have to say is if we don't see Tom Holland with Milo's big glasses there will be heck to payeen jaar geleden
I always zei if ONE good thing should come out of these remakes, it should be a historically accurate Pocahontas. If Pocahontas had as many stories being told about her as Abraham lincoln for example and ridiculous fantasies rooted in urban legends like the 1995 original would be a lot easier to digest. The most populair story should always be the TRUE story and that's really the main issue with Pocahontas. It's still probably gonna be semi-inaccurate like no romamce but she's still probably gonna be older (it's just easier to work with adults y'all lol) but if this is true I applaud them for taking a chance and fixing an issue that's existed even beyond Disney.een jaar geleden
^And the thing is Disney can't even be 100% blamed for the movie being so innacurate since John Smith's story was most likely the most well known. If Disney does do a remake maybe it'll be like Mulan and be meer historically accurateeen jaar geleden
Another thing I'm really curious about is what is Aladdin 2 going to be about if they do make it? There's no way it'll be just like Return of Jafar because in the remake Iago acts meer like a regular papegaai compared to the original so I'm wondering if it's going to be a new story of if maybe it'll be a mix of the two sequels. and speaking of does this mean they'll do the third movie too?een jaar geleden
Just saw Toy Story 4, was not that bad but just really meh (and toooo long) I like Woody but all of my other favoriete characters (Jessie, Bud light jaar ) didn't play a big role. I couldn't care less about Bo and the other sidekicks whose names I have already forgotten (minus the canadian dude who was hilarious)
