Everything We Need to Know We Learned from Disney Movies: Part 1
We’re going to let you in on a secret, guys. Disney movies = our entire education. Well, all the important bits of our education at least. Are you arching an eyebrow and thinking, “OMD’s really lost it this time, what in the world are they talking about?” We’re so glad you (hypothetically) asked. This is what we’re talking about.
1. When in doubt, don’t accept gifts of fruit from creepy old ladies.
We can’t stress this one enough. Back away from the apple.
You can’t hear us, but we’re saying, “awwww!” right now.
5. Don’t sit around and wait– get out there and make your dreams come true!
(This one is more for Abu than anyone else. PUT THAT RUBY DOWN!)
Have you ever heard the wolf cry to blue corn moon? Us either, but we totally want to.
Tiana had more than a few obstacles to overcome, but she persevered (even when things got super scary). #DrFacilierHauntsOurDreams
10. Ladies don’t start fights, but they can finish them.
Oooh, girl! Class and sass. We strive for the perfect combination of both.
Sing it it with us! ♫ True to your heart, you must be true to your heart…♫  Wait, what were we saying?
You’re the only you there is. Especially if you’re a secret demigod living with your adoptive mortal parents. That’s unique.
We mean really strong, like, all-the-strength-of-a-raging-fire strong. We imagine that’s pretty strong.
Some people might see a few mice and a pumpkin, but with a little help from her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella saw a carriage and footmen. Not. too. shabby.
At first glance this might look like a rather villainous lot, but open up to them and they’re total sweethearts!
Bonjour! Belle! Madame de la Grande Bouche! En Flambe! We could go on, but yeah, after Beauty and the Beast we’re ready to go to France and blend in with the locals…or should we say, les madames and monsieurs…oui oui!
19. The seaweed is always greener in somebody else’s lake.
This one’s deep guys. Be content with what you have, don’t go comparing yourself to anyone else.
OHMIGOD! DON’T LEAVE WOODY! #Tears #Hyperventilating #ItsGonnaBeOk
So get out there and live! Or stay in and read more OMD articles! Either one is cool with us.
There you have it. Definitive(ish) proof that everything we know, we learned from Disney movies. We think we turned out pretty well, don’t you? (That’s a rhetorical question. We totally did. The proof? We grew up watching Disney movies.)
