No, i don't think he did, i always liked Basil as he was the sensible one who tryed to help Dorian. It was Henry's fault that Basil died as he lead Dorian astray.
Yeah Basil deserved it. Most of the fans think it was Lord Henry who maligned a an innocent and ignorant soul.But Basil Hallward was actually responsible for the fate of Grays soul.Vanity made his soul ugly, not Henry's cruel but true words.It was Basil who made Dorian think he was a snowflake!
