If anybody writes the 'Reading the...' fanfictions (e.g. 'Reading the Harry Potter books')I was wondering how u do that. Do u just type out the chapters in the book? Just wondering... Thanks! x

Well, I don't write them, but I can say from what I've read that pretty much all the people do is type up the actual text from the actual book and then insert the comments. Do u mind me asking what fandom u write for?

I've come across some of these which do quote sections on the original text. But I think this might be against fanfiction.net's rules, maybe depending on how much is quoted. It'd probably be a better idea to briefly describe which scene of chapter the characters have just read, and focus meer on their reactions to it.
