Emma's far too practical to believe in mermaids -- until she becomes one. Emma loves the water, but once she has a fin, she's forced to put her competitive swimming career on hold. Emma is more sensible than Cleo and Rikki, but she can be a bit controlling; sometimes the other mermaids don't want to play by her rules.
