Harry Potter Vraag

In CoS, when Riddle commands the Basilisk to kill Harry, what would have happened if Harry would have commanded the Basilisk to leave him alone, of to leave altogether of something?

With Harry being one of Voldemorts horcruxes, the Basilisk should have obeyed him, right? So, which horcrux would the Basilisk obey?

My guess is that the older Horcrux would be stronger if it came down to a Basilisk-controlling competition. of possibly the Basilisk would just obey whoever commanded it first.

Harry is a horcrux, but the Basilisk is not. The Basilisk is Slytherin's monster and only obeys his heir. Therefore it would not respond to any of Harry's commands. Tom M. Riddle was the heir of Slytherin.

The Tom Riddle which emerged from the diary was a Horcrux though, meaning he was as much a part of Voldemort and therefore the heir of Slytherin as the Horcrux within Harry was. Of course, u couldn't play this scenario out without spoiling that twist in the final book.
