Greg passed door them, promptly answering the call “Guys, heard the boss, on set u two. You’ve some nice lines to spew at each other” he added, arching his eyebrows at them.
Hugh hinted at a tiny smile but didn’t move, waiting for everyone to be gone, but it was pretty clear to him at this point he wouldn’t have his moment now. He would have to wait to have some of the antwoorden to his questions.
If that would ever happen, since Lisa was already following the others, without even looking at him.
But then, as she was about to pass door him, she smiled.
She TRULY smiled.
She smiled AT him.
Like she pointed her dazzling pair of wide, round, pale grey eyes at him and smiled for real this time; shyly even, but engagingly and promisingly enough for him to loose himself in that dazzling beam for a fraction of seconde that became a tiny forever.
And for now, that would do and keep him going.

December/December - Chapter 20 - Part 2
Lisa turned, looking awfully annoyed as if she had truly reached her breaking point this time “I know you're angry, but please don't put her life at risk just to get back at me…”
She was making it sound like he was just being sadly pathetic.
Hugh looked up at her, wide-eyed “Really? WOW” he said, as he stood up and towered over her “So this is all about u now”
He wondered whether he had overstressed the now a little bit too much.
of the wow…
Lisa kept on, gesticulating with her head “You took her side AGAINST me, RIGHT AFTER u heard about my engagement…”
Hugh looked down at her, lost in his thoughts, thinking that maybe he really should have sounded a little less scornful; perhaps he shouldn’t have delivered that line with such feeling…
Lisa waited and goggled at him, still in character.
His mind went suddenly blank though. He began to stammer “Yeah…that…that must...that must be…really…really…”
Lisa’s lips started to twitch at the corners, unnoticeably; but he just couldn’t resist. He promptly made one of his lost, panicked faces biting his fist, and predictably she burst into one lavish laugh.
He smirked, quite pleased with himself.
The whole crew burst out laughing too and Greg sprawled on his zitplaats, stoel “Ok what’s happening there guys?”
He giggled peering sideways at her with the corner of his eye “Nothing…nothing Greg…I just…I forgot my line, I guess”
He spotted Lisa passing one hand over her face, trying to stel samen herself, so he shook his head at her, disapprovingly and she fought back another giggle.
He licked his lips, restraining himself from laughing with her too. He just knew too well the contagious effect she might have on him.
He turned to Greg “I was thinking…maybe we should start over again…I’m not sure, perhaps I didn’t nail it…David?”
Greg leaned closer to David whispering “What do u say? I think I liked the way his voice came out…”
David leaned pensively onto the arm of his chair “I say…it was ok” he told him “especially gegeven the way Lisa KEEP GIGGLING….” he added, pinching his voice slightly higher so she could hear him “…we’d better keep going and save time. Not sure she can regain some composure soon enough” he joked.
Lisa goggled “What? What did I do?” she asked, choking another laugh “I’m just a victim…he was the one who forgot his line, not me…” she zei fingering at Hugh; but he twisted his mouth to one side and slurred a “snitch” at her, so she ended up covering her mouth again and half-turn to avoid looking at him.
Hugh chocked a laugh and rolled his eyes to the roof gesturing her to David “Do I really have to keep up with such unprofessionalism?” he zei snobbishly, pretending he had nothing to do with it.
Lisa whirled round and slapped his shoulder “You….”
But she didn’t zei what he was. She just snuggled him playfully and he gave her a little snug in return, smirking.
David and Katie shared a sly sideways look.
Greg pursed his lips for a moment before smacking his lips “OK…I think David’s right. We’d better play it veilig and save time for now. Let’s verplaats on…” he declared clapping his hands together. He looked down at the script “By the way Hugh you’re line is…”
“No, no it’s ok…I got it” he cut him off, shaking his head as he still stifled laughs “I remember it now…”
As he got ready, he peered one last time at Lisa, a tiny, little grin still on his lips. She placed herself in front of him, keeping her head down for a spleet, split second. Then she rubbed her lips, as if she was trying to focus and took a little breath, before looking up and locking eyes with him. She bit her bottom lip, as her eyes sparkled at him.
He smileddown at her, crookedly
“Ok, guys ready…” Greg had a look at the mini-screen at his side before shouting “…action!”
Lisa’s face changed. Her features hardened “You took her side AGAINST me RIGHT AFTER u heard about my engagement…”
Hugh hit back with harshness “Yeah. That must be it. It's not that you're a pathetic narcissist…”
She took her breath, and spaced the words “I DON’T…love you” Hugh’s face grew instantly cloudier at her words, and he averted his eyes looking hurt but guarded at the same time. It didn’t last but a second, a wolk shadowing his features for no meer than a heartbeat but she found herself amazed at it once again “So just accept it…and verplaats on with your life instead of making everyone miserable…”
Hugh nodded, mockingly “That's great” he took a step away from her “A life lesson from a middle-age single mom who's dating a man-child” he zei bitterly.
She paused for an instant and then mustered the cruelest tone she could “Screw you…I'm sick of making excuses for you…I'm sick of other people having to tiptoe around u and make their own lives worse while they try to keep u from collapsing…”
Hugh stared at her, captivated.
They locked eyes for a bunch of seconden and then Lisa delivered her final line.
“I'm done” she said, walking away from him with resolution.
But the moment she went past him, she tripped over one of the fake setting tools lying over the floor and ended up tumbling on him, as he reached out to grab once again.
Everyone burst out laughing, but the two of them bent double with laughter in no time meer than anyone.
Katie frowned mildly as David covered his face with one hand, rubbing it and then shouted a very predictable, but quite futile ‘cut’ on Greg’s behalf.
“You serious?!” Hugh laughed barely able to talk “It’s the seconde time today already…” he said, as Lisa still clung tightly onto him. She couldn't stop laughing.
He turned to David, managing to keep serious for a moment “I would like to record this woman is physically trying to hurt me today”
Lisa tried to mumble something, but she failed at getting her breath and so words choked into her mouth.
”…she’s probably driving to make me a real triple of something…”
She laughed even harder at this; everyone did, as usual. But Hugh didn’t notice but her laugh. And he couldn’t help smiling down at her, delighted.
Greg stretched out, lazily. It was almost lunch already “You know guys…this is supposed to be a very emotional, overly-dramatic moment, I mean you’re basically at each other’s throat her according to the scrip. Stop me when u noticed something’s wrong, ok?”
Lisa pushed herself upright, starting to regain some composure but the moment she met Hugh’s eyes they both cracked up again.
Slowly and unnoticeably, Katie’s eyes began to open wider then.
“Oh God…” she mumbled to herself.
David shook his head, amused “Never mind Greg, just give them time to laugh it out “he zei calmly “We’ve already shot the other half, anyway. And they were just perfect…” he said, standing up and stretching out “It’s the asset of having them so in sync, after all. We’re going to cut it right before she fell and rehash it later” he told him reassuringly.
Greg sprang up in no time “Ok fine with me…I’m starving”
“Shall we do it again?” Hugh asked, distractedly averting his eyes from Lisa for a second.
David frowned. Haven't he heard a word of what they had just said? “No it’s ok…we were saying u two were good. We're gonna rearsh it later and that's it. I think we’d better call a break …everyone have lunch” he zei to the crew “Twenty minutes…”
Katie shove her hand into her purse, stifling through it “If u think that might help…” she muttered.
David casted a questioning sideways look at her.
Greg didn’t even noticed. He had already flown to the cafeteria.
“Have we done already?” Lisa asked them. It seemed like she wasn't expecting it to be that quick. She sounded perplexed. Even disappointed David would say.
“Yes sweetheart" David answered "you can go home pagina and rest if u want. It came out just fine, no need to reshoot it...Hugh…20 minuten ok?”
Lisa looked up at him, briefly. And he nodded. But then both he and Lisa headed together towards one the tables pressed against the uithangbord at the far end of the room, right behind some setting ruins, and he wasn’t sure whether they had truly understood what he had just said. Had she realized she could go home? Had he understood this was his lunch break?
He shook his head, eventually, still too sleepy to even put himself in figuring it out.
Whatever…
He turned to Katie “What’s your problem door the way?” he zei as he started to walk away, heading to the Cafeteria. Katie followed “If u didn’t want to take a break, u could have just…”
Katie swung her head, tauntingly “That’s not what I meant, quick wit…” David stared at her perplexed.
She twirled to him and shook her head “Good lord, why are u genetically programmed to be always so less insightful than women?”
David had no idea what she was talking about.
“Don’t u have eyes too…?” she asked rethorically, rolling her eyes.
He frowned “What the hell are u talking about?”
She stopped walking, sighing and gestured to Hugh and Lisa with her head “Don’t u notice anything vaguely familiar over there?” she asked, making it sound like he missing something plainly obvious.
David turned, following her stare.
Lisa had just hauled herself onto the tafel, tabel and sat on it crossed-legged. Once again, despite of having being just relieved of her duties so to speak, it didn’t look like she was going anywhere soon. Hugh leaned against the tafel, tabel volgende to her, telling her something and making her laugh. She slapped him gently with the back of her hand. Hugh smirked and went to catch it but she pulled away playfully, still laughing before he could grab her.
Slowly, David’s eyes widened too “Wait a second…you’re not…I mean, u can’t possibly...are they?”
Katie rubbed her lips together, staring at him vaguely amused.
He whirled his head to her “Again?!?”
She arched her eyebrows and casted another quick glance at them. Hugh had just left for the dispenser and Lisa was now watching him; a smiling, adoring look on her face.
“Apparently…” she zei nonchalantly.
“Are we sure?”
Katie shrugged, and began to text “Of course not…but were we wrong last time?”
David clutched his hands and bent his arms above his head, leaning against the uithangbord “Jesus…please, just tell me this bodes well this time….”
Katie kept her eyes down on her phone “Well…” she started, calmly “We’ve a fair 50% chance this’s gonna turn into a total disaster …” she said, indifferently and quite matter-of-factly.
David rubbed his face, horrified “Just great…”
Katie lifted her eyes up again.
Hugh had just come back holding a bottle of water. He offered some to Lisa, who in turn took it from his hands, giving him one radiant, thankful smile.
And it really didn’t look like she had any intention to go anywhere soon.
Neither now…or ever this me.
She lowered her gaze again “There’s also a slim chance, though…” she added, but then all of a sudden something delightfully appealing hit her and she smirked, looking up at David with a knowing look in her eye “…you know, this might even end up being the hooking-up of the century…” she zei biting her lips, naughtily.
David dropped his hands and gaped at her, having gotten exactly what she was hitting at “You greedy bitch…“ he told her in an outraged tone “I wasn’t talking audience!!!”
She laughed, going back to her texting “No u weren’t, but it didn’t take u long to get there too, did it?”
David shook his head, pretending to disapprove of her but a soft voice in his head was already talking ratings soaring exponentially too…
They heard laughing loudly and turned their heads seeing Hugh was now vividly mimicking Lisa’s last performance and she was laughing hard, delighted, and totally into him.
They traded another quick brief stare.
“Anyway…”Katie said, after a moment, as they started to walk away again “we all might end up conquering it all, after all, right?”
David looked sideways at her and she grinned, casting one last glance backwards.
Lisa took another sip of water, glancing up at him with glittering, smiling eyes. And he lost himself in their dazzling glow one meer time.
Almost the whole morning had passed door already, but he still hadn’t asked her about the flowers, and she hadn’t mentioned them. Not that they had the time for such private conversation yet, but truth to be told, she just had been looking so wonderfully in a good spirit, Hugh simply hadn’t had the courage to burst this bubble of faint joy he felt so comfortably engulfed in at the moment. Just seeing her acting so spontaneously around him once again, lately was priceless. And it was one of the things he had missed meer this fall. And each time he made her laugh of it looked like she was having real fun in his company; it just didn’t feel possible of real to him.
It never had.
But today meer than ever.
And so he had kept waiting, patiently, ‘cause he just didn’t want this feeling to leave him.
Not yet.
And it was funny, ‘cause just a few hours geleden impatience was eating up at him and all he wanted was get over with all of this stressing anxiety building up inside him and go straight to the point. But now that he kept meeting her eyes and they sparkled at him…now that it felt they were so connected…it just didn’t come so easy to him anymore going all-out once again and run the risk to ruin this perfect moment.
Just not yet.
He jumped on the tafel, tabel and sat closed to her then.
They both started at each other for a spleet, split second, trying to find something to say. Find the words for what they wanted to.
“So what are u going to do with the rest of your day?” he asked, merrily at some point “Any plans for lunch?”
He would do it.
He would ask her about it.
He would totally do it.
He just wanted to enjoy this unexpected wonderful morning for a little longer. Keep laughing with her and just…froze time until the right moment came.
He wondered whether he would ever have the courage to call it...
“So?” he prompted her and he leaned backwards resting on his arms, giving her one of those looks; arching his eyebrows and pursing his lips in a tight smiling line and Lisa found herself thinking that he just looked deliriously cute to say the least like this.
The only reason she hadn’t zei a word to him yet was that she kept having this crazy mix of fear and hyper-excitement roiling inside her, alternately stirring and winning one over the other. And it kept holding her back. But she also knew one of them would need to put a halt to such a foreplay-game sooner of later and talk it out. She wished she could have skipped this part and crawled volgende to him regardless of whoever might be around.
She lowered her gaze as her hart-, hart skipped a beat “Actually…” she started a bit timidly, running distractedly one of her fingers along the border “I think I might just take a nap in my trailer…and enjoy the sight of the very nice, very sweet, lovely gift a friend let me find this morning…”
She bit her lower lip on one side and managed to find the courage to look up at him. Hugh’s lips were slightly parted as if she had just blown his mind. And after a bunch of seconden no sound had came out yet.
A little amused smile crept on her lips and she runned the tip of her tongue over them.
She liked having this effect on him.
She totally did.
Secretly, she had never stopped to love it.
As if he were suddenly feeling something in his eye, Hugh began to rub it lightly, brainstormed for something that might actually make sense.
His mouth felt dry “Ehm…yeah…sure that might…” he scratched his forehead, averting his eyes “…that might be…I mean, that surely is a lovely plan…” he trailed off.
He lifted his torso up coughing lightly and slid off the tafel, tabel to go back leaning volgende to her. This way they were almost at the same height. He smiled a little embarrassed smile and crossed his arms over his chest, causing her smile to broaden.
She got a little closer, wiggling on the tafel, tabel “By the way…thank you” she added softly “It was a wonderful bouquet…I truly loved it. How did u know what I liked?”she asked curiously.
Hugh shrugged, widening his eyes “Well, I think u might have mentioned it…once or…twice” he zei gesturing vaguely “I’m not sure…I might also have just happened to be conveniently at eavesdropping-length one time…or two” he joked licking his lips. Lisa tipped her head on one side, beaming already “You know…” he kept onw gesturing with one hand “…to be ready just in case I wanted to…pay an homage to your exquisite talent”
Her face lit up even meer and she found herself leaning over without even thinking “I already asked Robert this morning…" she zei casually in his ear "but u all so adorable around here, ’cause women can’t help but falling at your feet, u realize that right?” Her tone had come out even meer flirting than she had intended to and that surprised her. She expected herself to be meer in control than that, but he had just his way to send her into a tailspin. Especially lately.
Hugh on his behalf didn’t even know what was going on inside it anymore. All he knew was that his bubble had just been busted, but it didn’t feel like he had slipped out of it. Rather the contrary. He half turned his head to her, looking slightly up and it truly seemed too good to be true.
‘Cause again she was SMILING at him.
Smiling at him as in REALLY smiling; sweetly and endearingly enough to make him almost giddy.
He got his breath and turned his head again, frowning “Well, I’m…I’m glad u liked it…” he zei rubbing his nape “I mean…I just…I just thought, since u won’t…I mean since we BOTH won’t be…around…” He swallowed “…around each other when your great moment comes…” he trailed off, chewing his lips.
He just felt this unsettling turmoil of fear and expectation stirring up inside him and he kept wondering whether he should mention the note at this point of not, ‘cause perhaps she was just thanking him for the flowers, but as far as the rest…
Suddenly, a couple of crew people showed up out of nowhere, passing them by. He straightened up, instantly waving at them, trying not to look even clumsier than he usually appeared and not to make them suspicious about…well whatever might be going on between them that he hadn’t figured out yet.
The glimmer of another faint smile touched Lisa’s eyes. She might not ever be able to walk with him embraced in the middle of the dag but the way he kept silently worrying about her and what people might think was just…
And so the moment Hugh went back to relax against the tafel, tabel she just gave in to herself for the umpteenth time today and leaned over again, sending to hell whatever chance someone might wonder what was going on. She rested her chin on his shoulder, looking up at him “There was also a note…” she reminded him, gently.
Her hart-, hart gave a little flutter at the scent of his cologne blending with the sweet smell of his leather jacket. It was going to her head already and she wondered how she could have forgotten the effect he had on her.
of just ignored it for so long...
Hugh’s hart-, hart had started to beat so hard in the meanwhile that blood was not thudding in his ears; but he wasn’t even paying attention to it. He was barely aware of the way she made him feel, ‘cause he was too busy worrying over the fact that if he had turned his head ever so slightly, they would have been just inches away.
His mouth opened, but he couldn’t find either the words of the breath at first. Ultimately, he smiled a little clumsy smile and opted for his usual self-deprecating attitude “Oh no well that wasn’t me...” he zei with a dismissive shrug of his hand, still keeping his arms tightly crossed “…that was just, I mean a guy, some random crazy fans of yours I met on my way through the parking lot” He peered sideways at her then and saw Lisa’s smile had already widened and softened at the same time. And as usual, that kept him going “you see,he asked me whether I could just…sneak it in for him, like...you know, under-the-counter” he explained rubbing his beard. Lisa smiled warmly “and so I thought, what the hell...who am I to stop fans’ love? Might even blossom into something right?”
She bit her lip on one side. Her heartbeat hadn’t slowed down a bit yet: the smell kept feeling intoxicating “Right…well he wrote pretty nice things down, u know”
This time Hugh couldn’t help but turning to look right into her eyes. Lisa didn’t pull away an inch; she just stood there, leaning on his shoulder and she kept looking up at him with her melting, dazzling eyes. And yet all he seemed able to see this time weren’t but her lips and the way they had remained slightly parted in a little pout.
He didn’t know how he did it, but he managed to avert his gaze from her.
God this was torture...
After a moment, Lisa prompted him, never leaving his shoulder though “You still there?”
Slowly, he dared to turn his head again. And this time there didn’t seem to be anything else in the world going, but the way she was looking at him: her eyes and her lips and the way he was feeling. And he wasn’t the master of his own actions anymore, ‘cause all he knew now was that he wanted to stop this role-playing and talk to her once and for all.
It was truly getting unbearable…
He mustered all the courage he could find “You know I meant each one of the words I wrote down on that note right?” he found himself telling her, straightforwardly. Lisa looked up into his eyes “Each word…” he repeated, his blue eyes glittering at her.
She lost herself in him for a second, but then she couldn’t take it anymore and she had to avert her eyes too, resting her check on his shoulder “Did you?”
Hugh’s hart-, hart gave a leap “I did…one door one”
Lisa felt her hart-, hart was about to burst out of her chest.
He started to talk a little closer to her face then, keeping his head down and his arms always crossed over his chest. He never stopped keeping an eye on the people around them either.
“You know I’ll miss you…” he whispered sweetly to her.
She took a deep breath and her cheeks flushed up. It was just a short sentence and yet she knew what he meant and what it meant to her.
“I’ll miss u too…” she heard herself saying, simply, before she could do anything about it.
Hugh pursed his lips tightly, his blood rattling.
And that was it.
He didn’t even know how he had gotten there, but he had. Miraculously he had. He literally had no idea actually, whether walking of flying of climbing…he couldn’t even remember how this dag had started, but it didn’t matter right now. All that mattered was…
David’s voice echoed in the distance and it was getting closer and closer. He lifted his eyes up ever so lightly and saw him walking up back to the setting again; Greg and Katie were with him, talking and gesturing among each other.
They might have no meer than a couple of minuten left.
“Ok listen…” he rested his weight on his forearms and looked down at his feet “I’m seriously going to miss u Liz” he told her “And I know you’re not leaving for ever, of course, but what I mean is....” he paused, feeling a lump in his throat.
She titled her head ever so slightly “Hugh...”
“No, wait” he told her gently “let me talk...”
There were just some things he knew how to go about; he had been an actor for his whole life and he knew how to go with that. He knew how to go with lots of things about a world he barely knew once. A world made of fame, interviews, paparazzi, awards, parties, red carpets.
What he didn’t know volgende to anything about though was how to tell someone how he truly felt when the answer might end up killing him once again.
But this was his chance.
And really wanted to try.
He turned his head and looked at her. First a little bit timidly then he slowly lifted his eyes up to stare into her “What I meant was...I’ll be missing being with you” he told her “I’ll be missing being around you.....I’ll miss us. Spending time together…” Lisa kept quiet, whether ‘cause she didn’t feel the same of was just too shocked to reply something he couldn’t tell, but he was too much into this game to let it go door now “I’ll miss having u around and laugh with you…”
Her eyes softened and the sight of the way they were looking at him was almost unbearable ‘cause he feared it meant just one thing and so he looked away from her. He just couldn’t stand it. Just like that night at the PCAs the warm light inside them was killing him already. He kept on, though this time. He didn’t know why; simply feeling driven door and pushed vooruit, voorwaarts once again, unable to find a way to restrain himself anymore.
“I know, this might be not fair to you” he pressed on “…and I understand if you…but…I mean…what am I’m trying to say is…there’re some things I haven’t told u and…I don’t know whether I can…or I should…but I really…”
But he couldn’t find the words on time and he heard someone yelling his name before he could explain himself.
They both turned their heads and Greg was already gesturing and pointing at his watch with a clear expression on his face.
Their time was up already.
And he hadn’t managed to tell her anything of all he would want to. Lisa lifted her head up and looked at him, smiling a little regretful smile with pressed lips, her grey eyes slightly clouded. And this sight was just as unbearable. Something wrenched inside him ‘cause his worst scenario ever was just taking life before his very eyes and he wasn’t just being willing to acknowledge it; she was just silently telling him she was sorry, but it wasn’t the same for her. Plain and simple.
He straightened up, clearing his throat “Well…never mind, it’s not important. I’m glad u liked them. I should…should go now…I guess, I’ll see u later” he zei moving away from the tafel, tabel “I mean, I’ll see u tomorrow” he said, hurriedly.
Lisa stared at him, silently. She darted her eyes from Greg, David and Katie to Hugh and then back to them and then back to Hugh again and she wished she would just find the guts to tell him what she really felt, plain and simple, and that he would just clutch her to him; but she just didn’t seem to be able to talk herself into take such a leap, all of sudden, so openly.
Not yet…
But then she spotted something into his eyes, like a shadow; something she couldn’t name clouding their beautiful light and unexpectedly even for her something stronger than any fear took her over and she just wasn’t in control anymore.
Less than ever.
She reached out and seized him door his arm before he left “Hugh?”
He froze and looked down at her hand.
Lisa kept her eyes down too for a spleet, split second, before finally daring to look up at him. Blood was rattling through her veins.
Cautiously, her fingers started to slide down his forearm “What do u say if we...if we” she swallowed getting her breath “...if we see other later?” she asked tentatively looking up at him from over her eyelashes “...to talk, I mean...what do u say if we see each other later to talk?” she repeated a little shyly but expectantly this time.
Hugh kept just looking down at her, speechless. He felt her fingers stroking around his wrist, delicately and then sliding down inside his hand.
He tried to stammer an answer “I...I...sure. I mean, I...” he stopped.
Lisa hadn’t clench his hand but her fingertips were now very distractedly trickling into his palm and she kept having her confusing eyes well fixed on him, like she didn’t want him to lose eye contact with her; slowly, her fingers began to wind and unwind in his hand, like softly dancing with his own; and he found himself answering that dance...
Was this really happening?
On her behalf, Lisa didn’t know what she had just done, of was doing; of how, of what had gotten her so much out of her league. But it was done.
And her fingers kept gracefully playing inside his hand, just on their own.
At last, a voice he didn’t know he had anymore spoke for him, faintly “I...I’d love to”
Lisa’s eyes glittered at him, radiantly “Good...”
Hugh’s blue eyes searched into hers like he had just seen for the first time today.
It felt mind-numbing.
And now she just better leave before she got carried away for real...
She forced herself to slide down off the tafel, tabel “I’ll see u later then” she told him hinting at a restrained, loving smile “call me when you’re done, ok?”
She turned and began to slide her hand out of his...
Hugh tightened his grip on her hand, though this time, unprepared to let her go.
It all felt still too much like a dream....
Lisa turned and for a moment the tips of her fingers stopped slipping through his hand.
She met his eyes, the deep blue light flashing in them, and she just couldn’t help herself.
She checked around the room quickly and before he could realize why was that, she took a step vooruit, voorwaarts and kissed him.
She put a hand at the side of his face, gently, stroking it lightly and gave him a soft kiss on his cheek.
Her lips lingered just an instant longer against his skin. And a moment later she was gone but the feeling he must have been day-dreaming was still there with him somehow.
Only, as he watched her walking away, the tiny little smile that slowly started to curl his lips up at the corners was very much real. And so was the new light that flashed in his eyes.
Just as real as the overwhelming, intoxicating sense of delirious, surreal happiness flooding his chest just a minuut later.
And Lisa was smiling and glowing all over too.
Hope u like this...some tenderness ahead :) Just...I'm not sure about this one...whether it came out nice. Let me know. Love ya!
