Thanks for your reviews! I know it is not the usual Huli-fic, but I hope u still like it!
Prince James was found on the sofa in his bedroom door his dear friend Stephen, a Duke. ‘What’s gotten into you?’, Stephen asked as his friend didn’t seem to notice him. ‘W-what?’, James asked. ‘I’ve been standing here for minuten and u didn’t even notice!’, he answered. ‘Well then why didn’t u say something earlier?’, James asked. Stephen rolled his eyes, ‘Because, my dear friend, I’ve never seen u act like this before and I was trying to figure out what it meant. Besides, the Queen is looking for you.’ ‘O, that’s just great.’, James answered as he put a hoofdkussen, kussen over his head and closed his eyes again to be instantly met door his mental image of Lise…
He had never seen someone so incredibly beautiful in his life. She had gorgeous ivory skin, the most amazing blue-grey eyes and dark wavy hair enveloping her face. She was small but not too small as the only thing he could think was how perfect she would fit in his arms. She was slim, but definitely not a girl anymore, her curves gave away just how much of a woman she was. But what caught him the most of all was her smile, that incredibly enchanting smile…
‘Well there it is! You’re doing it again!’, Stephen almost yelled as he pulled the hoofdkussen, kussen of James’ face and saw him smiling somewhat goofily. ‘I have no idea what u mean.’, James muttered. ‘Really? Come on Hugh, we’ve been vrienden for ages, if u think u can fool me u are utterly mistaken.’
‘Hmmm… It was worth a try wasn’t it?’, he answered. ‘So are u going to tell me now?’, Stephen asked. ‘Definitely not. It’s better u don’t know, it might get u into trouble if u do actually.’, James answered, ‘I guess we should pay my mother a visit. With my birthday coming up and that Princess coming over she has an even worse temper than usual.’
‘James, there u are!’, the Queen spoke harshly, as her son entered the tearoom. ‘I’m sorry I’m late mother.’ ‘I am certain u are James, but that does not mean it can be tolerated.’ ‘Of course not mother.’, he answered. ‘We will talk about this further in private.’, the Queen zei looking at Stephen. ‘Of course, your majesty.’, Stephen answered and left the room. ‘Well, sit down!’, the Queen told her son. ‘Yes mother.’, he sat down in the chair opposite of her. ‘Well now, I should give u a punishment, but as u know how valuable my time is, I would like to discuss some other things with you.’ ‘Thank u mother.’, James said. He really hated talking to his mother, he hated not to be able to express himself, not to be able to tell her to shut up, he was 24 years old for god sakes, not 11!
‘Well then, u must know that Princess Josephine from France is coming over in 4 days and that u are supposed to announce your engagement at your birthday ball, 2 weeks from now.’, the Queen zei as the Prince visibly flinched. ‘Of course I know mother.’ ‘Good, because I have been writing letters to the Queen of France and we both agree that u should get married as soon as possible. Princess Josephine will turn 28 very soon and u cannot embarrass her any longer door postponing the wedding. It is of course only because of your brother Charles that your father changed the law so it isn’t until your 26th birthday that u must be married and ready to reign this country. If Charles had never had the accident, he would already be King right now.’ ‘I know mother, I am sorry.’ ‘You are sorry? Have u ever once thought about what this means to any of us? To Josephine? She was supposed to marry Charles 6 years ago, they were supposed to have lots of children already!’ ‘I’m really trying to be the very best man I can be mother.’ ‘Well obviously u aren’t trying hard enough!’, the Queen started to yell just as the King entered the tearoom.
‘Settle down Patricia,’, the King zei as he walked up to his wife and son. ‘Would u mind if I talked to James for alone for a second?’, he asked her as she nodded reluctantly and left the room. ‘Your mother is a real something isn’t she?’, the King asked. James nodded. ‘Don’t let her get to u too much, will you? She is still upset about Charles’ accident, but the truth is he is happily married now. He won’t be king, he doesn’t have any children, but he is happy. Which is meer than I could say about u son.’, the King told him. James looked away, ‘It’s just… How am I supposed to get married of at least engaged to a woman I’ve never even met, in a few weeks?’ ‘That is the fate of the heir son, I know u weren’t supposed to become King, but fate decided and now u must beer it.’ ‘What if I don’t want to?’ ‘Don’t say things like that son, u might be a little insecure, but I know u are going to be a great King to this country.’ ‘Mmmm…’ ‘Now, if u will excuse me I have to go do some work.’, the King zei as he walked away. ‘Thanks Dad.’, James zei and they smiled at each other. ‘My pleasure.’
