Tom Goodman-Hill - who plays Joe Hawkins - told Digital Spy on set that the show\'s writers "drip feed" plot teasers to him and his fellow actors, before they receive proper scripts.

"It can feel frustrating," he admitted. "But actually they\'re doing it for a good reason. It kind of fits with the way they\'ve constructed [the series].

"Because it\'s not about an apocalyptic vision, it\'s not about big bangs and huge fights, it\'s about incremental changes - in the life of society and of the Hawkins family - and the way those changes are apparently minute, and yet have an enormous impact.

"The things that happen to the family happen slowly, step by tiny step, so it\'s good, really, that you don\'t know too much, because you don\'t understand the significance of something that happens until three eps down the line."

That said, Katherine Parkinson - who stars as Laura Hawkins - added: "Obviously, if there\'s anything significant that we would
