SS501 (pronounced as Double-S 501 of Deo Beul E Seu Oh Gong Il) is a populair South Korean boyband under management of Daesung Entertainment, also known as DSP Entertainment. The name of the band is a combination of the alphabet and numbers that have special meanings in them. The first “S” stands for “Super”. The seconde “S” is an abbreviation for whatever they want to be that starts with an S, Star/Singer etc. The number 5,0 and 1 means `five members united as one forever.’ Their official fan club is known as "Triple S". There is only three official Triple S currently, but meer are surfacing from other countries and waiting for DSP to recognize them.

Notes: He is a member of SS501 sub unit. He has nickname magnae (youngest) because he is the youngest member in the group. Kim Hyung Joon's brother, Kim Ki Bum (Marumir), was in the new group Xing. He then left in 2007, and now he is the leader in a new boyband named U-Kiss. Kim Hyung Joon is currently a DJ for SBS muziek High (daily at 2am) and took over the MC role from member Kim Kyu Jong as the MC for MBC-Every1's God of Cookery Expedition.
