Michael's P.O.V.
My body was spread across the divan, bank with my face down. I wasn't going to verplaats until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked up and it was mother.
" I don't want avondeten, diner Mother."
" I wasn't going to ask u that if u let me talk."
I really didn't want anybody to talk to me right now. It was kinda cool enjoying solitude until someone shows up.
" What is it Mother?"
" Why are u lookin' depressed?"
" I kissed Jaycee and I probably messed up our relationship."
" Sorry Michael ,but the world don't revolve around Jaycee. Sure, she's a nice girl, but life doesn't stop with her."
" u wouldn't understand Mother. Things that happen now probably didn't happen in your day." I said, shaking my head.
" u think just because I'm older that I haven't experienced the things y'all do now?"
" Sorry Mother. That vraag was outta line. Just leave me alone please."
Mother frowned but shrugged. " Okay. Fine. Let me know when u feel like talking." How could she understand? My mind is full of frustration, anger and loneliness. Nobody can feel as lonely as I feel now.
Jermaine sat in the recliner volgende to me, minding his own business. At least I think he was. door his facial expression, he was eager to ask me what was wrong.
" Mike, what's up? u look like something's wrong." Jermaine asked, scooting closer to me. " Nothing." I lied. Jermaine made that know-it-all look that older brothers have.
Jermaine and I were completely silent until he blurted out. " It's because of the kiss, ain't it?" I cursed in my head. If he says a thing to anybody else, I will kill him.
" Yes. How'd u know?" I asked. He smiled. " Big brothers always know." I rolled my eyes. " Whatever."
Jermaine crossed his arms. " u think u were a little bit fast on her?" I shrugged. " I don't know. She seemed to like it."
" Did u ask?" Jermaine asked, shaking his head. I shook my head. Jermaine smacked his lips. " Sorry little bro, can't help u there."
" Oh yes u can! " I nodded. The enthusiasm I displayed in my voice was surprising. Jermaine shrugged. " u can't dump all your baby problems on me!"
I frowned. " Hey! I'm not a baby! I'm almost 18!" Jermaine simply sat up and walked away. So much for that.
The volgende Day...
Jaycee's P.O.V.
I woke up to a warm and relaxed July morning. The sun released it's long and hot wrath unto my face. The phone started ringing, making me jump a bit.
" Hello?"
" Hi Jaycee. Michael here. How's it going?"
" Okay. I just woke up."
" Oh. I'm sorry."
" Don't be. How are you?"
" Fine, I guess. I was calling to see if u wanted to come over maybe?"
I smiled to myself while twirling my hair with my finger.
" Sure. I'll be there in an hour."
" Ok! See ya Jay!"
I hung up and hopped out of bed excitedly. I pick put my favoriete hot roze sleeveless top, boven with a pair of black shorts and clunky wedges with matching earrings and watch.
As I slip into the shower, the heavy steam hit my face as the water cascades down my body and massages my tired muscles.
After my shower, I put on my outfit, brushed my teeth and curled my hair. When I walk downstairs, Jada was waiting for me.
" Where are u going?" She asked curiously.
" None of your business!" I snapped. Jada frowned. " Sorry. Can I come with you?"
I roll my eyes and shrug. " Why?" Jada made a nervous grin. " ' Cause Randy's there." I smirked. " What do u see in Randy?" Jada stuck out her tongue. " What do u see in Michael?"
Jada cracked a smile while I was thinking of an answer. " Shut up you! At least Michael is my age! Randy is 15 and you're 12!"
Jada frowned. " So? I'll be 13 in two days! So ha!"
I sigh and take Jada with me. It's hard enough to have a strict mother, but a annoying little sister to go with it? How lucky am I?
When we arrived at Hayvenhurst, Bill was snickering silently behind us. Sometimes I don't understand that dude. As soon as we saw Randy, guess who jumped on him like deer caught in the headlights?
Randy struggled to get the deranged girl off of him. It was kinda funny to watch since Randy has no interest in Jada at all.
" Get off of me Jada!" He yelled, trying to unwrap her arms around his hips. " I love u Randy!" She screamed, her grasp still firm on him.
Michael came out of the house with a glass of Kool-Aid in his hand. I looked in his direction which turned into a long stare. It took a long time until before he looked up.
" Oh? u want some?" He said, pointing to the half-full glass. I shook my head. " What's wrong?"' He asked, a worried look spread across his face.
I sighed and hugging my knees. There was a complete silence between us until Michael took my hand and played with my knuckles. " Do u want to go home?" I nodded.
For the first time, I wanted to be alone. I really wanted to be with Michael today, but something was bothering me. I just can't figure out what it is...
