NU\'EST confirmed to halt all promotions and participate in the male version of \'Produce 101\'

Pledis Entertainment officially announced that NU\'EST will be participating in the male version of \'Produce 101\'.

On February 24, Pledis made the announcement on the group\'s official fan cafe. The label stated, "NU\'EST will be halting promotions as NU\'EST. They plan to show more of themselves, not as NU\'EST but as contestants of the program. It\'s not an easy path but please give support to the members who made the difficult decision after a long thought."

The label also assured fans that their participation in \'Produce 101\' does not mean disbandment. It stated, "It is completely irrelevant to disbandment. Members of NU\'EST believe that this will be a start to a new beginning."

Back in 2012, NU\'EST made their debut with "

Face". Along with NU\'EST, boy group HALO and KNK are also reported to be participating in the competition. 

I think this is a good opportunity for nu\'est. I mean, who k owe hat they\'ve been up to since their last cb? By going on this, they have a bigger chance of showing everybody their individual talents and even gain some more fans. It is unfair, yes, since they\'ve already debuted and have more experience compared to the others, but I really this is a good opportunity for them! I can hope them good luck...

i mean im proud of them and wish them the best as a hugely loyal fan. I hope this gets them even more recognition. But it does seem unfair to the trainees in the program that they are putting groups into the show, it\'s one thing for trainees to go up against each other but to go up against people ho have years of experience in the entertainment industry, that\'s a whole other ball game.

Well.. we all know who\'s going to be first place just like Somi\'s situation. REN, because visuals and uniqueness is very important. And Ren oml.. heaven sent.

You don\'t get it? Pledis put them here so they can be more well-known. At the very least, they\'ll leave with a bigger fanbase.

What??? These guys have been in the industry for 5 years, they have way more experience than the other contestants and one of them most popular debuts of all time. It\'s disrespectful to the group to put them with bunch of trainees & unfair to the contestants who haven\'t had as much experience or fame as them. Plus, they are guaranteed 5 spots if the 11, so that makes the show less exciting. And what if only 4 members make it and 1 member doesn\'t. That\'s super awkward for the group. Finally, didn\'t they already do a show with male trainees? BOYS24? Didn\'t that show do badly? Are they not learning from their mistakes? There\'s so much wrong with this.

I would\'ve been more excited if they were announcing a new cb instead haha, but if they really want this then as a LO^E I\'ll support them and hope for the best ^^

They don\'t. Pledis would never say "We obligated them to do it."

I love them. They had such an awesome debut. Hope they show all their talents and still continue promoting as NU\'EST. Pledis WTF. You have awesome groups. Stop wasting their talent.
