Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Oliver Queen Just Gave Us The Most Romantic ‘Arrow’ Moment Of All Time
Something truly beautiful happened on last night’s “Arrow,” but before we get into that, let’s set the stage by looking back at some Olicity moments of the past.
Where should we start… oh, how about that night in Nanda Parbat? Remember that?
Of course you do. How about that time Oliver and Felicity drove off into the Coast City sunset?
That was nice, too. Oh, and what about when Oliver was
to popping the question, right before his friends requested his urgent return to Star City?
All of those are beautiful moments of Olicity bliss. But every single one of them, and every other near-miss or full-on kiss between the “Arrow” power couple, pale in comparison to one tiny exchange in season four’s second episode, “The Candidate.”
Yep, it’s really that simple: Oliver gives Felicity a plant as a present to welcome her back to work. Oh, and there’s one more thing…
… a homemade packed lunch, too. “Who are you,” indeed?
Believe it or not, this is Oliver Queen, the same man who used to fill his enemies with arrows, and still does, albeit non-lethally whenever possible. That very same individual is packing up lunches and gifting first-day-as-the-boss-ferns for the woman he hopes to marry, right before she heads into her first work day in months — a rough one, too, filled with firings and unfirings aplenty.
It’s an incredibly simple gesture, a perfectly mundane moment, and yet, something that small can be a sign of huge love between two people. I mean, have all the hot sex in the League of Assassins’ headquarters that you want (by all means, really, please do, but please use protection), but at the end of the day, don’t we just want someone to love us, buy us flowers, fulfill our lunch order without even asking, and be there at the end of the way-too-long work day?
Yep, that’s what I thought! So congratulations are in order, Oliver Queen 2.0. You are officially the best boyfriend in Star City.
Likes pizza, punch and pie. Dislikes the Chitauri.
