I had left school in tears. door the time I walked myself home, I was a sobbing mess. I quickly changed into a set of pajamas and flopped on my bed. Why did everything have to get so complicated between him and I? I guess now though that I really think about it, things have always been complicated between me and Niall. We had known each other since we were five, alongside with Liam, but it was Niall and I who were always off getting into trouble together. I stare at the ceiling. I wanted to be twelve again. I wanted to be back when Niall had zei he loved me, when he almost kissed me.
Flashback:
"I think you're doing it just fine, Niall." I chirped to him as he practiced a new football move. "No way." he disagreed. "It's supposed to pop out!" I shook my head at him. "You know I don't know a thing about football, right?" He flashed me a cheeky grin. "That's okay, you're pretty enough to get by." I smiled shyly as he came over and sat volgende to me. "You know, I think it's destiny that we're friends." he told me. I nod my head. "Of course." Niall turned and looked at me straight in my eyes. "But I think it's also destiny how I feel about you." I tiled my head and quietly said, "Oh?" He smiles and whisperes, "I love you, Kate Summers." I blush a deep red and look down. He chuckled and gently lifted up my chin, leaning closer. "Hey Niall!" shouted a voice. Startled, we both scooted away from each other. "Are u coming to the football game?" I smiled and said, "Go." Niall flashed me a quick smile and called, "Yeah Liam! I'm coming!"
End of flashback:
I hear my phone go off, pulling me from my distant memories. It's Niall. I quietly read the message he sent and sniffle.
New Text Message: Niall Horan 11:15 AM
Kate, I don't know what happened to you, but running away from things isn't the way to handle them. I care about u too, u should know that... anyway... I'm coming door your house after school with Grace and the guys. I'll see u then, and u can gurantee we'll be talking. School ends at 2:00, so that gave me a little meer than two hours to get the house cleaned and clean myself up. Second chances don't always happen, I tell myself. So quit moping and get ready.
