I have to agree here hun, who the hell cares what other people think?
If your hart-, hart is telling u this boy is the one then u should go for it and if you're vrienden can't be happy for u and put their feelings aside to let u be happy then i'm sorry but they are not true vrienden and you're better off without him.
Just because he sings songs from the '50's and '60's and knows lines from ster trek (so do i - live long and prosper) doesn't make him any less of a man of a friend. It just means he's interested in different things that some people my find 'un-cool'.
To be honest if u really love this boy u will sacrifice a few vrienden who probably won't be around forever anyway, and sacrifice your popularity for love. A little bit of teasing won't hurt u hun, but missing out on a chance like this could.
After all a few months from now when u and him being a couple become old news they'll get bored and let up. Trust me, i've been through the same thing. yes it's annoying, frustrating and upsetting but when u realise that u stood up for yourself and what u believed in it will all get better :)

I think that if u truly care about him, u should go out with him. u love him for who he is, so why should it matter what other people think? I totally understand that it really sucks to be made fun of, but u shouldn't let other people suck u in to the conformity of being someone who isn't really you. You've been really good friends, yes? If u go out, the teasing may be slightly worse at first, but people will get over it soon enough.

So don't let other people's nastiness drive u of your friend away from being happy. Ignore the nasty kids if u can, and soon they will get bored and leave u alone.

If they seriously tease because of who he is, they obviously aren't respectful and u don't need people like that in your life. Just ignore them, and once they see u couldn't give less of a care, they'll forget it and verplaats on.

If u love him so much, then go out with him. forget what others say of think. i know im the last person to be giving love advice, but if u truely like this guy, you'll accept the fact he isn't populair amongst the crowd. Relationships are about sacrafices. And I think he sounds like a keeper, so totally go out with him :)
