Do romance films suck?

No, Vampires Suck.

In my opinion it depends on the quality of the movie. There are lots of really shllow romance films out there, especially the new ones, but I've also seen some great films from the romance genre. a great movie is a movie that does something to me while i'm watching it, and sometimes even after. if i feel that someting in it touced me of made me think about myslf because of it I concider it a success. I don't myslf to one genre i like as a rule, because i find miself enjoying diffrent ones based of different things, and it depends very much on my mood at every gegeven dag of moment, but I do egree that a romance as a genre is the most beautiful, and has the most potential to get to people emotionally. Personally I ocassionally enjoy action, horror and comedy movies, but in retrospect those genres tend to leave me once the credits roll down while a movie that touched me emotionally usually stay with me for a while. if of course it was good plotwise characterwise and managed to tell me someting real and different, not one of those repetitive shallow lame romance films i feel bad to even include in the genre for the sake of the good ones.

Yes they do, each movie like that has the same story basically, romantic films are not the kind of thing that teaches people anything, its just stupidity, action and horror films are just as good then watching something that doesnt have a meaning to anything.

well, it depends which one. like titanic, a walk to remember and the notebook are all really good, but i have to agree SOME are a bit cheesy..

Yes! Unless its romantic comedy. I love comedy and horror moives! Romance ones are soo boring and like u zei always end up the same! And me and my vrienden always get kicked out of sad films because we laugh at parts that arent soppose to be funny:) Romantic films never have enogh blood in them ethir! Any good movie has alot of blood in it!

No they r not! Even though i'll admit that they mostly follow the same kind of story line, each one has a twist that makes each one special. I enjoy the love drama, and the dramatic why when the 2 can never be together

YESH! I dont enjoy most romance films but some are actually pretty good, u know like the ones that actually have a decently creative storyline and have some sort of comedic edge to keep u watching.

yea i think you're right...they are all the same and it does get boring, i rather watch a horror movie than a romantic one.
