In a simple way, the meaning you're probably looking for, is that a stalker is someone who follows someone around. Usually without the person knowing, and taking in information door observing the person's actions. They stalk them.

Someone who's so obsessed with u they'd follow u anywhere. He/she mostly has this fantasy about him/herself and the person he/she is stalking. At least that's what I've learnt from Criminal Minds :P
