Weird of Wierd? THAT is the question!

Hey, think about this for a minuut (my brother brought this up to me and it made me think).
u know how the saying goes "I before E except after C"?
Well, if that's true then why is the word "weird" spelt w/ the E before the I?
There's no C in the word so shouldn't it be spelt "wierd" instead??

If u mean the word that describes something strange, it's spelled "weird" - it's one of those words that doesn't follow the "i before e except after c" rule.

But there is a word that is correctly spelled Wierd. It is a graphical language that was developed in 1997.
