Snapping turtles have long tails and flat shells, and they have brown shells with a jagged edge towards the tail end. Snapping turtles have pointy noses and get really big.
Normal turtles have shorter tails and have sort of dome-shaped shells. Normal turtles usually have black shells with yellow of oranje markings on them.

so um wear to thee live the most because me and my mom verplaats to her boyfrind house its cool he has a big tv but any in hes backyard hes a Creek a he sayd that ther r Turtles in the Creeand so today me my mom and garmah was in out back so my mom and gammah whatt off to the Creekmy mom wali in it so i whant in to Creeki std t wali but i slppd and fall on my butt i laufd so do my mom i was froing rocks it fuuny i fiad u in the sap af ohio wis is wear im frm but then my mom told thet he sayd the ther turtlesso i what to a bot that becausei what to chikt one for a pet i ask my mom say its ok so yay
Snapping turtles have long tails, beak like noses and whenever u hear about schildpad stew, that's made from snapping turtles (which unless u come from a total redneck family like I do, you've likely never heard of schildpad stew, my dad actually has a captured schildpad in a bucket right now to clean it off O_O)
