Were u a part of a fandom before but left it entirely?

I was a part of the Sonic fandom for quite a while. I was utterly addicted to it and even made an OC (Oh regretted this to this day). Then I took a break from it for some reason. When I had gained a bit of rationality as I matured, I realized just how pathetic I was when I was a part of the fandom. I seriously wanted to stempel, punch myself for being such a loser who is way too obsessed on one thing. Thank glob I was able to get over that stupid phase. But thanks to that I learned a lesson, never dwelve too deep into a fandom, the sole reason I'm still not calling myself a Brony who buys the merch, writes fanfic, creates OCs etc. but just a regular plain ol' fan (who may draw humanized MLP fanart from time to time). Another reasons are the fans of Sonic. Most of them don't know shit about gaming and treat the Mario franchise like shit (which is ironic since Nintendo kinda own's Sonic Team's ezel now) and most of the are quite insane in the membrane, having sexual fantasies about the characters and other unspeakable things they do.

Note to the sane fans I zei "most" meaning not all.

So how about you?

I was part of the Naruto fandom. Back in 5th grade,I was addicted. I wouldn't stop talking about the anime, and the main character. Then, well actually 6 months ago,I started to dislike the anime, and the fandom. I just couldn't handle it anymore,I was sick and tired of it. I mean, the fans pretty much of almost snap at anyone who hates Naruto.

Honestly I can't remember if I ever did do something like that. Every fandom I have ever been in I love and I am still in. I may be obsessed with alot of fandoms but I don't go dangerously crazily obsessed. But then again that is relative. One fandom I was highly thinking about leaving was the Hetalia fandom because of most of the fans and another one I was thinking about leaving was the yaoi fandom because again the fans. Every fandom I ever thought about leaving was due to the fans. (NOT all but the majority of at least some of them were absolute idiots...)

Sorta. I guess I used to be a huge fan of the Invader Zim fandom, but now, I'm only a little fan. It get's boring when there are only 2 seasons of the toon and they're never, ever gonna air new episodes. I still like the show, but, I'm floating away from the fandom :|

The Slenderverse (Anything related to Slenderman, specifically the vlogs and blogs). I'm still part of the Slenderverse but, I started to detach myself slightly, mostly due to the fact that ever since the game came out, anywhere u go u have people saying, "I saw Slender (which, annoys me to no end if people call him Slender)", "Is this real"?, of people pretending to know everything about Slenderman when they just got into him.

*endrant*

I was a part of the Homestuck fandom until Tumblr made me realize that almost all the fans were absolute morons. So I left and joined the Sound Horizon-kingdom instead. Atleast there are no debates in that fandom.

I came close to doing that with the Once Upon a Time fandom because a few of the users there were being kind of disrespectful to me for liking the bad guy. But I got over it.

I did leave the SwanQueen (a couple from OUAT) fandom because the fans actually attacked one of the actresses on twitter for saying she didn't like the pairing. I didn't want to be a part of a fandom that does things like that, it's really kind of embarrassing...

I was a member of the Taylor snel, swift fanclub, but left because my updates were filled with "Post a picc of Tay-Tay in, like, the most awesome dress". It was rather annoying and I'm not that big of a fan of her muziek anyway.

Yeah.... I used to be a big fan of One Direction. Now I realize how stupid I was to even like them. It's not even mostly my fault, I was kind of dragged into it door my Directioner friend.. I mean, I liked one of their songs but she forced me to pretend my last name was "Styles" and all this fluff... And then all the other fans started giving Directioners bad reputations. Plus, the obsession only lasted like one and a half months before I realized they were stupid and anime was was freaking better.
Oh, yeah. And I also loved the Hunger Games for about a week and then realized it was one of the few things that actually scare me to death no matter how good the book is .-.
