School? -__-

Where I live, school already started last Wednesday. It hadn't been so bad so far for me, at least, but my friend HATES it. She hates high school because she can't even study without getting distracted door everything else, and u might know how that's like. It's making her all irritable and depressed, and it's barely been two weeks!!! And she's already on the verge on failing because she can't concentrate. She wants to be home pagina schooled but her mom, for some reason, wants her to attend public school and isn't changing her mind. Is there a way to make her mom let her be home pagina schooled instead? Like, I dunno, that K-10 online learning thing and such? I mean she has only 3 years left of high school then it's college anyway.

Thnx~

Oh? Well tell her that it's been proven that homeschooling is even meer beneficial than private and public schooling.

I don't want to sound mean, but have u considered the fact that she just isn't trying because that sounds just like me in my first jaar of high school.

I guess, I mean she's not the lazy type, which is me. She tries but I suppose everything else about high school bothers her and really gets in the way of her studies

She needs to learn how to concentrate so she can focus. Anyways, she can persuade her mom if she feels strongly to be homeschooled. But,if she doesn't turn in work on time for the program she will be kicked out and will have to go back to a public school.

I don't think homeschooling is going to make much of a difference. u still have to meet state expectations ad learn the same stuff. I mean it's a meer flexible schedule but it's not all the different aside from the lack of social interaction.
To me it sounds like your friend just hates school. I'm with her. I'm a Junior but my Freshman jaar was kind of awesome, actually learned stuff. Sophmore just went to hell, no meer learning just a lot of tasks I could see the point of amd memorizing. So far my Junior jaar has been the same, and I started last Wednesday too. It hasn't even been five days and I already hate the place meer than I did last year. Your friend is just gonna have to hang in there. And if all that other stuff she's dealing with is vrienden of just people in general, tell her to let it go. u can't control everything and it's far less stressful when u stop trying. Also, tell her to work on getting her work out of the way as soon as possible so her weekends and her time at home pagina are devoted to her and not some B.S. assignment her teacher wants her to do. Anyway, basically she's just gonna have to suck it up like the rest of us and suffer. Soldier on I say. It's really the only option.

I think her Mom doesn't want her to be home pagina schooled because she doesn't want her daughter to become antisocial and loose her friends, but I don't think there's any way to convince her :S

She needs to learn to concentrate and deal with it. It's a life skill that she'll need and there is no way of getting out of it. Homeschooling isn't the answer - she'd have to concentrate just as much at home pagina as she should in school.
