What is a famous saying of phrase that has always confused you?

for me it'd probably be "I'll slap u into volgende week."

I mean I understand it I just think it's stupid. If u slap someone INTO volgende week then that obviously means you'd have knocked him unconscious to the point where he won't wake up till the volgende week. On the other hand if u threaten to slap someone TILL volgende week, they would be far meer compliant I'm sure.
