100% this. I really liked some of the newcomers just on their own- I really loved Viola and her moveset, and even though I'm glad SCVI is returning to form I'm admitably a bit bummed that she and Z.W.E.I will almost certainly never make another appearance. But they either should have been in like a spin-off game or an entirely separate franchise... or just not have existed. Soulcalibur V was more like a fanfiction than an actual Soulcalibur game and I still have no idea why they went with that.

Probably Nagisa Momoe right after that. I feel that way with the Madoka movies in general.
