Why aren't episodes 1-3 as loved as the other ones?

I dont get it either. I certainly enjoy them alot meer than Episodes 7 and 8. The whole " They're predictable and over use of CGI of they dont like Jar Jar" is petty and ridiculous for hating all three films and at this point they are just jumping on a bandwagon. Some film website in the media did a fact check on Disney ster Wars and it may not be the same CGI but they did meer CGI in one movie than The Phantom Menace almost. They did practical FX too yes. But they certainly didn't get rid of the CGI.
AND if TRUE ster Wars fans listen To Mark, Harrison and Carrie( now her past stories) they will know that the Originals were not that great with dialog in places and were full of annoying creatures too. So there is no such thing as a perfect ster Wars movie. But I think that the majority of ster Wars fans DO enjoy Episodes 1-6. But there is always going to be whiny fanboys with a feather up their ezel about something. That is why George Lucas Retired. Nothing he did was ever good enough for them. If not for him they wouldn't have ster Wars. Now they want him to come back. I read it all the time on Youtube. So I would ignore it. As a HUGE fan myself. I roll my eyes and tell them to grow up and get a new hobby.

A lot of people just find JarJar meer irritating than funny. Also, there are some scenes where the acting of the writing isn't as well done as in the original trilogy. Finally, the story of the prequels have to be predictable to some extent because they're prequels - the fact that Anakin goes dark side and becomes Vader is well known - and there are always people who will prefer a less predictable story to one which just shows how already known events occur.

I've never understood the hate the prequels and Jar Jar get. I'm like you, I've always preferred them over the originals. And also like you, a big reason that I like them better is because my personal favoriete character (in my case, Jar Jar) is in the prequels. But that aside, I still find the characters and the stories a lot meer interesting and engaging than in the originals.

I don't know and I don't care. The idea that people dislike the Prequels because of one character, Jar Jar Binks, is so ridiculous that I have to vraag their intelligence. Especially since Jar Jar is only prominent in one movie, "The Phantom Menace".

Personally, I'm a major fan of the Prequel Trilogy. And I'm aware there are a lot of people who are also fans of this trilogy, even if the mainstream media and others like to pretend otherwise.

i think the reason is over use of computer graphics.and the fact that george lucas gad not directed a ster wars movie for 16 yrs when the phantom menace came out.so he was a bit rusty.but i have seen them and i have them on dvd and blu straal, ray and despite what others say i loved them .over use of computer graphics of not

I don’t hate them, in fact Revenge of the Sith is my favourite ster Wars movie,but I believe it’s usually the real hardcore fans that hate them but I was only a teenager when the prequels were out and I grew up with them and I always enjoyed them,Anakin and Padme are still my favourite characters and while I can understand why people dislike Jar Jar it didn’t ruin the films for me,truth be told I’m meer disappointed with the Disney trilogy and it seems that the hatred has been transferred to The last Jedi and now people are saying that it’s the worst ster Wars movie ever.
