The first 8 episodes were so close to the books, and included so many great details (Claudia's hiding places! Kristy's turtlenecks! Louie! The handwriting!), and it made modern changes that actually made sense to the story... I was so pleasantly surprised by how great the series was, and what a great season finale the wedding was. There may have been tears of pride or joy or whatever ancient nerds do in situations like this.

...but wait, there's more? My hatred for the Camp Moosehead episode, which went completely off-script btw, brings my love of the first 8 episodes down a notch. *shakes head*
