The Bootleg Doors, vindt haar oorsprong als Doors tribute band in 1996, in Amsterdam. Als officiële Jim Morrison Tribute Show, tourden zij wereldwijd en traden op in theater, clubs en zalen op alle continenten. De onvoorwaardelijke missie busje, van de bandleden is om zoveel mogelijk mensen kennis te laten maken met de fascinerende prachtige muziek busje, van The Doors. Om hen de grote variatie aan songs te laten horen en mee te nemen in de teksten en daarmee de kijk busje, van The Doors en met name busje, van Jim Morrison, op het leven.

To coincide with the theatrical release of When You’re Strange (at selected cinemas in the UK from 2nd July), Idea Generation Gallery, London, is taking an intimate look at one of the most controversial and charismatic rock bands in muziek history.

The complete package for any Doors fan, in collaboration with The Morrison Hotel Gallery over in the States.

Featuring photography from the likes of Henry Diltz, Joel Brodsky, Bobby Klein and Ken Regan, the
exhibition opens fully to the public on 09/07/10, running through the summer until 27/08/10.

The Doors create controversy still to this day. The Doors were formed in 1965 door a few film students at UCLA. The group never added a bas, bass player because Manzarek's electric organ and Morrison's rocking voice they needed nothing else. Drugs were a big part of the 1960's as well as with the Doors. Jim Morrison's drug addiction is no secret. That is also what is responsible for his death. But some say Pam "Morrison" (they were never married, she took his last name), might have followed through with the act.
