Florrick prostitute, Amber Madison, is gegeven her own advice column to answer readers' vragen about love, life, and sex.
I've been dating a married man for 3 years. We met at a friend's New Year's Eve party and it was love at first sight. His wife wasn't there because she's agoraphobic and refuses to leave their house. She's been that way for a decade and makes everyone in her life miserable. My boyfriend isn't happy at home, but says that he doesn't want to do anything to hurt his wife because he feels sorry for her. He says that he loves me and is going to leave his wife...

First off, nice job on designing the set for "The Good Wife"....
HAPPY ENDINGS After a tough case, Diane manages to win a $6 million settlement for her clients.
Episode 04 | Aired Oct 21, 2012
Diane and Alicia take on a flip-flopping opposing counsel, and Eli does all he can to stop a story that would hurt Peter's campaign By Breia Brissey
It seems like The Good Wife showrunners have finally heard your complaints. "Don't Haze Me, Bro" delivered a completely Nick-free uur of TV! And for those of us who are a little fed up with the Nick/Kalinda storyline, it was a much-needed break. (Full disclosure: I loved Kalinda and Nick in the season premiere, but quickly became confused with the pairing.) I know we haven't seen the end of the unhappy couple, but...
CREDITOR CANNING Michael J. Fox returns as Louis Canning to face off against Diane and Will.
Episode 13 | Aired Jan 27, 2013
Alicia gets a career-changing offer, Will and Diane face off against Louis Canning, and Neil Gross returns By Breia Brissey @ ew
Are u kind of tired of hearing about Lockhart/Gardner's financial woes? Just like I grew weary of the Kalinda/Nick storyline, I'm now getting a little bored with the firm's constant debt struggle. But at least the writers shook things up a little bit door throwing Louis Canning into the mix. I love to hate Michael J. Fox's character on The Good Wife. That said, I'd be a pretty happy camper if I didn't have to hear another word about the...
FORMER FOE Audra McDonald guest stars as Liz Lawrence, Alicia's law school nemesis, as the two face off in court on the Lemond Bishop case.
Episode 16 | Aired Mar 10, 2013
Lemond Bishop's case takes center stage with guest stars Wallace Shawn and Audra McDonald By Breia Brissey at ew
After two episodes in a row of Carrie Preston goodness, I have to admit I was fully prepared to be underwhelmed door "Runnin' with the Devil." But of course I was wrong. Any time Lemond Bishop (Mike Colter) returns, we're usually in for a good show. Under normal circumstances, Lemond Bishop is someone I'd never root for in real life. He deservedly has a lot of bad things coming his way. But stick Lemond Bishop under the protection of Alicia & Co., and...
MOMMIE DEAREST Stockard Channing reprises her role as Alicia's kooky mother and makes a surprising move to support her daughter.
Episode 02 | Aired Oct 6, 2013
Lockhart/Garder sues the NSA on behalf of Chumhum; Stockard Channing returns as Alicia's mom By Breia Brissey @ EW
Another Sunday. Another great episode of The Good Wife. I really love that instead of jumping right back into the thick of things with the first episode, the writers are really laying the groundwork for the inevitable explosion of drama (see: Florrick, Agos, & Associates). Perhaps the writers learned their lesson last season. Remember how excited we all were for Kalinda's mysterious husband to make his debut? Then Nick showed up in the season 4 premiere,...
DOUBLE TROUBLE Two men are accused of the same murder, and Will and Alicia face sending an innocent man to prison
Episode 10 | Aired Dec 2, 2012
Two defendants get accused of the same crime, Eli gets a visitor from the Justice Department, and Kalinda tells Nick he has to go By Breia Brissey @ EW
Last week's episode of The Good Wife was easily my favoriete of the season. It was definitely a tough act to follow, but I think "Battle of the Proxies" did a pretty good job. And I can say that even though there was a Kalinda/Nick story line!
The case of the week was actually two cases: two men were facing charges for murdering the same woman. How is that possible? The victim, Brandy, had been attending an outdoor...
Matthew Perry guest stars as the chair of a blue ribbon panel, and the FBI joins the investigation on Kalinda
By Breia Brissey / EW
"Is this going to take long? Only if it irritates you." Oh, Eli Gold. How I love your comedic relief for The Good Wife. Last night's episode was relatively tame, as it focused mostly on a blue ribbon panel instead of a typical in-court case. But we finally got a little meer insight on Kalinda's mysterious tax case, and we got to witness Matthew Perry as a man of the law instead one of our favoriete Friends. Could I be any meer excited?...
THORN IN ELI'S SIDE T.R. Knight makes his debut as Jordan Karahalios, a political advisor who joins Peter's campaign.
Episode 11 | Aired Jan 6, 2013
Louis Canning complicates Alicia's case, Will and Diane battle Clarke Hayden, and Eli faces a new and old foe By Breia Brissey @ EW
Good things come to people who wait. of at least good episodes of The Good Wife come to those of us who suffer through the winter televisie hiatus. And maybe it's just me, but I think "Boom De Ya Dah" delivered. The case of the week had Lockhart/Gardner representing a young girl, Kaley, who acquired West Nile virus after being around a swimming pool at a foreclosed home. The disease ended Kaley's promising ballet career and demanded...
Florrick prostitute, Amber Madison, is gegeven her own advice column to answer readers' vragen about love, life, and sex.
I'm a fifteen year-old boy who has never been kissed. Would it be wrong to pay someone to kiss me? There's a girl in my class who says she'll kiss me for $50. She'll even let me take pictures to toon my friends. We haven’t discussed the details yet – open mouth of closed mouth, tongue of no tongue, etc. And money isn’t an issue; I receive a very generous allowance. It’s just that my mom told me that my first kiss should be “special” and I usually...
NEGATIVE NANCY Mamie Gummer returns as lawyer Nancy Crozier, the thorn in Alicia's side during the case of the week
Episode 21 | Aired Apr 21, 2013
Alicia takes on a case as a favor to her mother and Peter asks Alicia to renew their vows By Breia Brissey @ EW
It seems like just yesterday we were eagerly awaiting the arrival of Kalinda's husband during the season 4 premiere of The Good Wife. That story line didn't really pan out, but still, I can't believe we've already reached the penultimate episode. Unfortunately, "A meer Perfect Union" was about as underwhelming as Mr. Kalinda Sharma. Things moved too slowly, and again, there was no Eli Gold! That said, I think the writers held back a little bit to lay...
FAMILY FEUD John Shea returns as Cary's hard-to-deal with father
Episode 17 | Aired Mar 17, 2013
Alicia and Will take on an inquest at the morgue, Cary's father returns, and Eli schemes against Jordan one last time By Breia Brissey at ew
I kind of like it when the case of the week takes a turn for the weird, and this week was just that: Will and Alicia set up koop in a morgue instead of a traditional court room for an inquest into the death of Roger Ludwig, an Illinois Supreme Court Justice. We heard the car crash in the episode's opener, but didn't see how it all went down. Ludwig's insurance company, led door Wilk Hobson (Frederick Weller), was looking to pay...
GOLD STANDARD Alicia joins Elsbeth in the fight to clear Eli's name in his case against the DOJ
Episode 15 | Aired Mar 3, 2013
Elsbeth and Eli take on Josh Perrotti and the DOJ, Alicia adapts to her new role at the firm, and Peter goes against Maddie in a gubernatorial debate By Breia Brisse at ew
Hooray! Now that we've reached the end of the NFL season and major award shows, it seems that The Good Wife will no longer suffer from network preemptions. We get five all-new episodes in a row, beginning with last night's "Going for the Gold." The typical case of the week was replaced with the continuing saga of Eli goud vs. the Department of Justice. Likewise, that meant the return of everyone's...
BELLE OF THE BALL Alicia gets pulled away from a fancy dinner to deal with a client's murder.
Episode 18 | Aired Mar 24, 2013
Alicia waives attorney/client privilege after her client is murdered; Peter punches Mike Kresteva By Breia Brissey @ EW
Is it just me of does it feel like we've waiting forever for the Shamrock Dinner? For weeks I've been looking vooruit, voorwaarts to the fancy soiree -- complete with the promise of Peter putting Mike Kresteva in his rightful place, but meer on that later. But the party wasn't all about the swanky clothes and open bar, and leave it to Eli to point out the true goal of the dinner: getting on the good side of Cardinal James (John Cullum). If history was any...
ILLEGAL ADVOCATES The hacker group Anonymous joins the fight in the case of the week, but their illegally obtained evidence provides complications for Will and Alicia.
Episode 20 | Aired Apr 14, 2013
The hacker group Anonymous takes an interest in the case of the week, Alicia calls out Cary on possibly leaving the firm, and Diane continues to be vetted for the Illinois Supreme Court seat By Breia Brissey @ EW
The end is nigh! There are only two meer new episodes left of season 4, so let's dive right in and talk about "Rape: A Modern Perspective." The case of the week featured a young woman, Rainey (Makenzie Leigh), who was suing her alleged rapist, Todd Bratcher, in civil court. Bratcher (Jason Hite) took a plea bargain during his criminal trial, and as such,...
Thirteen-year-old middle schooler Shawna Redman of Safford, Arizona, was a pretty normal kid. She was great at volleyball, got straight A’s, and her biggest offense up to that point was being tardy a grand total of one time.
Who could’ve imagined that she was a drug dealer?
That day, the school’s vice-principal called Shawna into his office. Weird, that never happened to Shawna before. He had searched Shawna’s locker and now wanted her purse. Shawna wasn’t told what he was looking for and she was too scared to ask. After dumping her purse’s contents, rifling...
EMMY-WINNING ELSBETH Carrie Preston returned as Elsbeth Tascioni to represent the firm in a sexual harassment suit
Episode 04 | Aired Oct 20, 2013
Elsbeth Tascioni represents Lockhart/Gardner in a sexual harassment suit, Diane and Kurt address some of the issues in their relationship, and Eli and Jackie lock horns By Breia Brissey @ EW
The writers have been painstakingly laying the groundwork for the explosive response to Alicia leaving Lockhart/Gardner. Honestly, I was ready for it to all hit this Sunday. And was disappointed when last week's previews indicated that we'd have to wait two meer weeks for it to all come to a head. But it's like the Good Wife writers know exactly how to silence my complaints:...
Ethos (Greek) = character; Mores (Latin) = customs
Moralitas = manner, character, proper behavior
Professor Gentsch wrote this on the board at the start of his "Ethics, Economics and Law" Seminar during 1L at Harvard Law. What do those terms mean?
Ethics vs. Morality
But aren't they synonymous? Interchangeable? Break down the roots of each word. "Character" is in both. "Customs" and "manner" have similar meanings. But "proper behavior" is where the two diverge. What constitutes "proper behavior?"
GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER? Alicia's mom (guest star Stockard Channing) arrives for Thanksgiving and subsequently drives Alicia crazy
Episode 09 | Aired Nov 25, 2012
Alicia's mother comes to town, and a famous liberal lawyer offers his help on the case of the week By Breia Brissey at EW
Was it really necessary to air an all-new episode of The Good Wife during a post-holiday weekend? I grumbled about this very fact as I spent five hours on a bus returning to NYC from my own Thanksgiving celebration. And so what did Robert and Michelle King do? They delivered one of the best episodes of the season just to shut me up. u win, The Good Wife. Staying up late to catch "A Defense of Marriage" was totally worth it.
