In Mystic Falls, the Salvatore men pretty much run things — that is until the Heretics arrived. With Lily’s new ‘family’ there, everything is about to change… for good.

It’s only been a few weeks since Elena’s death, so Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is healing by looking after Alaric, with Bonnie (Kat Graham) as their chaperone. They were basically the best BFFs ever, and well, constantly drunk. Except Alaric was faking that buzz to try and meet with psychics and get ahold of his dead wife. Yup, same old 

Alaric isn’t doing so hot — he’s been visiting his wife’s body at the morgue and is holding onto something that belonged to Lily, and we know she wants it back but we have 

what it is. In the mean time, she’s enlisted the help of Enzo (Michael Malarkey). Just when we thought he’d take Caroline’s (Candice King) side, he went with mama bear. Who can say no to Caroline?!

As for Bonnie and Damon’s friendship, it’s still going strong — even though he did, for a moment contemplate letting her die, but he then realized how much he needed her, too. Plus, as a team, they can take back their town: they’re the only ones who actually march in and kill a heretic. Oh yeah, Mystic Falls is pretty much a goner.

With Lily and her new “family” in town, it’s made really clear that there is no way for both the Heretics and the rest of Mystic Falls to co-exist. After Stefan (Paul Welsey), Caroline, and Matt attempted to blow up their home and failing, the Heretics took revenge; they started a mass fire before killing all of Matt’s new Sheriff buddies.

So they were forced to come up with a plan: get everyone out of Mystic Falls. They compelled the entire town, and made a deal with the Heretics: they’ll each avoid each other and stay out of Mystic Falls, if they don’t attack any humans. Yup, there was even a Heretic clipping his toenails in Damon’s master bath, when he returned home so clearly he wasn’t thrilled.

We also got a little glimpse of three years into the future. Damon’s dead in his casket and not thrilled when Stefan comes running in, out of breath and revives him before Elena is back. However, someone (we can assume it’s Lily?) is chasing them — and wants to kill Stefan.

So it’s safe to say, she’s not going to just let this whole Heretic death thing go, right? What did you guys think of the premiere?
