'The Vampire Diaries' casting for 4th season in L.A. and Atlanta

Canadian beauty Nina Dobrev plays dual roles as Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce.

CW televisie Network's mega hit supernatural drama televisie series "The Vampire Diaries" is now in production on season number 4 in Atlanta, GA. The casting directors are auditioning actors for guest starring, recurring and dag player roles in both Los Angeles and Atlanta. In addition to the acting roles, extras are being hired in Atlanta throughout the season. The network has ordered a full 22 episodes that will begin airing in October, 2012. "The Vampire Diaries" is based on the book series of the same name written door L. J. Smith.

The series has an impressive cast that stars Nina Dobrev in a double role as Elena Gilbert, a beautiful young girl caught between two vampire brothers, and as Katherine Pierce, the ruthless vampire the brothers knew and loved in the nineteenth century. Ian Somerhalder plays Damon Salvatore, the elder of the two vampire brothers, and Paul Wesley is Stefan Salvatore, the younger brother. Dobrev, Somerhalder and Wesley have each won Teen Choice Awards for their roles, among other award nominations and/or wins.

"The Vampire Diaries" is from Bonanza Productions, Alloy Entertainment and Outerbanks Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. televisie and CBS televisie Studios. The executive producers are Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec, Leslie Morgenstein and Bob Levy. Williamson and Plec created the series based on L. J. Smith's boeken which were initially commissioned door Elise Donner, editor of Alloy Entertainment in 1990. Canadian film and televisie director Chris Grismer has been at the helm on several episodes of "The Vampire Diaries", and also serves as the show's Supervising Producer

I am so worried about my girl!! Elena Gilbert never wanted to be a vampire; she wanted a human life with children and then died in peace. Her Father, Grayson Gilbert was a conceal member. Yes, she loves Stefan and Damon, but she didn’t want to become a vampire :( Elena is such an inspiration for me as a human, after all she went through, she was still so strong and kind, caring, selfless and loving… Now, that she is not human anymore, I’m afraid she will become like Katherine, who was a good person when she was human, when she was Katarina Petrova.
Katherine Pierce is a thoroughly different “person”. Why makes her a vampire now? Why? I know that she will be one, sooner of later to be with one of the brothers but I didn’t expect so soon! I just hope she will still be as kind as she used to be!
Don’t take me wrong, I love Katherine but I do not want Elena to turn off her humanity!!

This episodes was fantastic. Not only a flashback, which we haven't had in awhile. But it completely broke off from the regular story line. A focus on the Salvatore's together-with very little Elena. Matt and Elena have some real bonding time. While Alaric has the dag from hell.
