I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Ian Somerhalder's Most Memorable fan Encounter Will Give u Chills!
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Just when you think you know everything there is to know about Ian Somerhalder, he gives another interview in which he reveals amazing details about himself. Most recently,
actor recorded a special Q&A video with The CW network in which he answered fan’s questions about the show (which airs Thursday nights at 8 pm ET/PT), his love for animals, and his commitment to raising awareness on important environmental issues. He responded to everything in his usual wonderful, spirited way, but one question in particular got him super excited.
“What was the memorable thing a fan has ever said to you?” asked a fan named Brittany Stehberger. Ian didn’t even hesitate or blink when this q was posed — he knew exactly which story to share! Behold his incredible reply:
“This girl comes up to me. She had what they thought was terminal cancer. She comes up to me and says, ‘OMG, I can’t believe you’re here!’ She grabbed me and she hugged me and said, ‘Literally, for the last four years I had this disease that was killing me every day.
got me through it. She apparently watched [TVD] over and over and over, but also became involved with ISF — and it literally pushed her to survive and beat the hell out of this really awful cancer. She was hugging me, holding me […] and she took her hat off and said, ‘See? It’s all growing back!’ And she had this light in her eye, and the fact that I had a part in this person’s life continuing was huge.
Talk about a miracle! We don’t know about you, but we got goosebumps after listening to that. There will probably be a few naysayers who will argue that this is scientifically impossible and try to negate this fan’s entire experience. Which is fine — everyone’s entitled to his/her opinions on medicine and healing methods. However, do remember each individual’s journey is unique and different things inspire our mental and physical well-being. Clearly, Ian’s passion is contagious, and he’s not only impacting the world in a positive way, but people’s lives, too.
That said, what motivates you to get out of bed every day? What are your hobbies and favorite ways to give back to the community? Feel free to tell us in a comment!
"Chilly early mornings with my girls... It absolutely BLOWS my mind that we hurt and kill millions of these animals per year. We put them in cold kennels waiting to die while dogs other dogs sit in puppy mills or in pet stores and dog-fighting rings to be torn up-and all the while, their level of intelligence, love and compassion are some of the most magnificent things about being human and on this planet.Let\'s stop abandoning, fighting and killing these incredible creatures-adopt, spay, neuter, donate, volunteer whatever you can do to help-PLEASE! I promise you\'ll feel SO GOOD! WE HAVE an incredible project happening RIGHT NOW CD where you can enter to win and COME SHOOT A SCENE WITH ME on The Vampire Diaries at OMAZE.COM/IAN will help ISF aka Isfoundation.org do so much! Check it out and help me save SO MANY of these kids as well as educate our two-legged kids! It\'s an amazing cause- please help us! If you are not in the United States please go to isfoundation.org and help us there;) LETS DO THIS! Have an amazing day! Love, Ian"
"A day with 3 of the most beautiful ladies in the universe... Wow smiling is such a beautiful part of the human experience-I highly recommend it. Congrats to our little Neitczhe here-1 year ago today, to the minute, you brought 5 beautiful puppies into this world-thank you for your amazing contribution to all of our lives. However, welcome to the wonderful world of being spayed-The world does not need any more puppies, we kill millions and millions per year. These two beautiful creatures right here in this photo or highly intelligent, highly emotional and capable of more love than you can you can ever imagine. The ones that are in shelters are the same-let\'s adopt them. @iamnikkireed your recent work with Gilt benefiting the @aspca is truly truky extraordinary. Thank you for giving so much of your life and for being a strong voice for those whom can speak. My hat is off to you. You amaze me. Love, Ian"
"A beautiful perfect Georgia afternoon decompressing from work with our big boy Eagle (who opted out of this photo), our little girl Millie (who you all haven\'t seen yet but here she is) & the one and only @iamnikkireed photographed by my lovely sista Kat Graham aka @katgrahampics The simple beauty of the quiet countryside loving on my kids with these amazing women...Wow, love this. Needed this. So many amazing things happening with all of the projects in my life-thank you for so much love and support. Thank you"
"Went to the animal shelter today to give some love to the babies living in cages who don\'t have homes and ended up adopting this little girl! What should we name her?"
"Proud new dad... What amazing creatures they are. Wow. His name is Eagle. Thank you @iamnikkireed for snapping this special moment, with our big baby boy."
"The newest addition to the family. Her name is Sohalia. Thank you @iamnikkireed for finding us this amazing kid in Conyers Georgia. Unfortunately this little kid was wildly mislabeled as "feral/not friendly", and had Nikki not gone in and opened her cage regardless, we would have never found out that she is the most loving kitty on the planet and she may have been put down. The point is this; because shelters are so understaffed, this happens more often than not. Let\'s encourage the people who work at shelters and people whom make policies for shelter workers to take more time to get to know the animals that are brought in, so they can properly inform potential adopters. Also, if you are thinking about adding a new member to your family, know that there might be more to the animal than what\'s written on their cage!!! Go have fun and adopt! Send me pictures please! Thank you- Love, Ian"
"Beautiful weekend...incredible weather...inspiring conversations...surrounded by my favorite people (and animal babies). Thanks dad for capturing this moment. @fireballerr"

What motivates me to get out of bed. I do have two teenagers but right now they’re not it. Stitch. He’s one of our furry babies, his brother Mackey is his twin. Stitch was diagnosed with Diabetes in the Summer of 2013 (Mackey diagnosed the following week with extreme Arthritis in his hips and back legs). Last December, Stitch’s blood levels would constantly spike so high, it was hard to control. In January, he was becoming very ill and a little chubby in his tummy. Dr. Olson’s hands-on findings concluded it was a tumor on his spleen. She said that there’s always things they can do but it could cost thousands of dollars in testing and there was no guarantee anything could be done. She’s always 100% honest. And because she knows my situation (I’ve told the techs I should be a partner by now), she told me straight out, she didn’t think anything would help Stitch in the fragile state he was in. Dr. Olson had given me her phone number a few years ago when Gizzy, our oldest, was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. He lived for a few years (he was almost 15…Dr. Olson’s miracle, she always said) and passed on April 21st of last year…Stitch and Mackey’s birthday. My son has High Functioning Autism and he’s having an extremely hard time. Dr. Olson has always said he could call her anytime but he becomes very anxious when he’s out of his comfort zone. We talk about anything and everything he can think of to save Stitch. Miracles, blood transfusions, chemo… What if this. What if that. A week ago, Dr. Olson wanted to see Stitch. I asked her all those questions Timothy had and all the ideas he came up with. She listened to every word and thought about them. Something must have clicked. She said we first needed to do another blood chemistry and possibly do an ultrsound, but not until the blood results were in. She had to FedEx the blood sample out because her lab could only do so much (and we’re in a rural area) so it wouldn’t be back until that Wednesday. The results came back and Dr. Olson felt we should go ahead with the ultrasound. The ultrasound was performed Thursday and it was confirmed, Stitch has Cancer. Throughout all of this, Stitch has gone from eating, to barely eating, to having a good 5 weeks of eating his normal amount twice a day, therefore getting his normal units of Insulin twice a day. And for a couple weeks now, he’s so ill that I’ve had to make different foods just to try to get him to eat. He acts like he wants to eat but after a few small bites, he turns around and lays down. I try throughout the day to get him to eat anything. If I have to make steak, then chicken, then scrambled eggs just to get something in him, I do it. When he looks at me with absolute fear in his eyes, I hold him. At night, I snuggle with him until he’s ready to go to ‘his’ spot (he’s always slept on my pillow above my head). And because I’m nocturnal, I never sleep well (I have a sleep disorder) so I can hear the slightest sound. I can stop him before he can jump off the bed. I stay up if I think he’s having a bad night. I’m always home so I’m constantly watching him, to see that he’s breathing. We have a walk-out basement so I carry him up and down the stairs so he can go outside. I do anything and everything for my children, human or not quite so human. Today? Today was a good day. So, what motivates me to get out of bed in the morning? I think you know. Thanks for ‘listening’!
@Maureen Thank you for sharing! I agree — “Pets” are important members of our family and definitely worthwhile reasons to get out of bed in the morning. Sending positive thoughts to Stitch; all the care and love you are providing this little guy is incredible. Seriously in awe!
I love my two children but my furry babies watch tvd with me I love love all the episodedit relaxes me
Never underestimate the power of the mind. What ever gave the girl a reason to fight is definitely what saved her life. Way to go Ian!!
In 18th century New Orleans, this immoral family hopes to build a home for themselves. But the city is lawless, and the witches and werewolves aren’t going to give up their territory without a fight. If there’s anything a vampire likes, it’s a good bloodbath, and Klaus Mikaelson isn’t afraid to begin a war over the woman he loves.
