What's the deal with Yomi?

u can read into it however u want, but I know I would be pretty obsessed with someone who blinded me and left me for dead in the wilderness and then showed up again hundreds of years later in a new body. Yomi seems the curious type; I can't imagine a world in which he didn't have a hundred thousand questions.

Plus, he's on the brink of a war, and he knows how powerful Kurama is. If he didn't take out all the stops to make Kurama his ally, he'd look like an idiot.
