Well, that's what a majority of fans (those reading the manga) are predicting. It's very likely there will be a time travel arc once the GMG is finished, and will likely answer at least most of the mysteries that have kept us going for so long (eg the dragons disappearance). This does not necessarily mean that Fairy Tail is ending, but I would rather see Fairy Tail have a great ending than the content going stale and the series getting ruined. een jaar geleden

@BakaOnibi - sort of agree with u... but just because that part is ending doesn't mean it all does. i don't want it to end like Bleach did (even though it probably comes back) in a place where anything can happen. that will piss me off... big time... een jaar geleden

I don't really see much room for a new decent plot line short of a spin-off. Zeref, time travel and the return of the dragons seems like it will be a climactic end to a great series (if it is the end). Mashima has zei that he doesn't want to take Fairy Tail outside of Fiore. I don't know, maybe he could come up with a decent plot to come afterwards; but I just think containing the story within the single country, everything is just going to seem so small scale after Zeref. een jaar geleden

probably. after Zeref everuthing is gonna feel like small-talk, unless he can think of something really epic. i don't want Fairy Tail to be ruined either, but i sort of don't want it to end :| not anytime soon anyway (which won't happen) *sigh* what am i gonna do when it ends...? een jaar geleden
